Heading Nigeria Territory of the World second largest micro blogging platform after Twitter. 2 year contract.
• Heading the university’s development drive that included, Fundraising (Capital Projects, Endowments, grants, gifts), Investment/Partnerships, Scholarships/Visibility.
• Increasing the AUN investment profile, Creating alternative and sustained sources of funding for AUN, and increasing its collective goodwill:
• Partnership with ASSOCHAM (NEXIM India funding from the Indian Government) to finance the AUN Teaching Hospital for increasing the revenue base of AUN.
• Getting investors for alternative source of power that was to save 30% of Monthly expenditure on power.
• Yola Blanket WIFI Project for commercial bases for increasing the revenue base of AUN, which would have made Yola the first city in Nigeria to offer blanket WIFI service.
• Google partnership for training paid for by Google.to increase.
• Fundraising and partnerships for AUN’s community service.
• Partnerships with various organizations to increase investment drive, scholarships, and capital projects.
• Working on getting endowments for AUN in the areas of research and chairs in select departments.
• Governmental, Embassies, Internal Partners, and Investor Relations. The student Recruitment drive, Press Relations, and supervisory control of Logistics and general Abuja Liaison Office supervision.
• I also started the Capacity Building Program at AUN as an avenue of revenue generation that saw AUN win a Capacity Building contract from one of the states to the tune of N350m ($972, 000.) in May 2020.
• I received full marks from my Division head during my six months probation appraisal.
• Planning and execution of special projects
• Advising on fundraising, marketing, and development matters
• My job description included Fundraising, Business Development, and Investment.
• Also responsible for getting GTB Bank to sponsor the 2007 Earth Day at AUN.
• Created relationships with NEPAD, ECOWAS, and Exxon Mobil, Coca-Cola, MTN, Traditional Rulers, captains of industry amongst many others.
• Advising the university presidency, forming and heading the university's committee on revamping the university's businesses, and advising on the best ways to make the investments productive.
• Responsible for securing the interest of INTEL Corporation in using AUN as a case study for some of its pilot projects in Africa.
• I was also responsible for the relationship created with Dr. Bamanga Tukur that resulted in the University getting a gift of $100, 000 from Dr. Tukur for upgrading the AUN African Center for ICT Innovation & Training.
• I also facilitated the relationship with Mr. Tajudeen Dantata, which led to his joining the AUN Board of Trustees in 2007.
• In this position, I had been a part of development initiatives, student recruitment, and University publicity teams at AUN.
