Working on Oracle 9i database on Unix Solaris OS and Oracle 10g on Windows OS, mainly accessed by Oracle Forms 10 and Developer 2000 environment.

Performed Oracle DBA tasks such as creating databases/schemas, configuring Net8 client/server settings, installing Oracle products, maintaining replication between databases, creating/maintaining tablespaces and datafiles, backup/recovery, database and applications tuning, and creating/maintaining relational schema objects like tables, views, indexes, synonyms, db-links, sequences, constraints.

Set levels of security to users by granting or revoking privileges to users and rolls, or by setting profile parameters or by enable auditing if required.

With my excellent PL/SQL experience, I wrote packages and scripts specially for batch jobs and backend processes. Also, I Wrote Unix scripts for automating backups and other jobs.

Designed and developed Oracle Forms and Reports for the client needs.

Expand the usage of a Visual Basic application that uses RF scanners by developing more functionalities to cover the storing and dispatching, of medicine, procedures.

Participate in redesigning the structure of the database and the applications to upgrade the system to a better level in terms of speed and efficiency.

Joined YOI at starting stage to develop Internet / Intranet applications for data compilation and the company’s search engine “www.yellow.ca”. Held titles such as Programmer, Programmer/Analyst and Oracle DBA and participated in full software development life cycle.

Used different Oracle tools to maintain the database such as Schema Manager, Storage Manager, SQL Worksheet, Procedure Builder, and other OEM tools. Also used Recovery Manager, Replication Manager and Oracle Designer 6.

Using SQL*Loader, loaded data files of Yellow-Pages directories, then processed and validated data based on the business rules and standards.

Designed and implemented the backend query builder and list extractor of the online sales lead project.

Analyzed the business requirements, built models, designed the functional and user interface, implemented, tested, provided user training and system monitoring of the Data Research & Verification Intranet System.

Enhanced and maintained YOI site “www.yellow.ca”, particularly the Business Locator, Online Correction and Small Business Resource Center sections.

Using stored packages, procedures, functions and triggers, designed and implemented Intranet applications for CRM and content administration and support of YOI web site.

Environment: Oracle v.8i/8 on Sun Solaris and Linux platforms, OEM Tools, Replication Manager, SQL*Loader, Oracle Designer 6, PL/SQL, HTML, JavaScript, OAS 4.0, OC4J, Java, JSP and JDBC.

In an ISO standards environment, joined a team of more than 15 programmers, analysts, customer support and business analysts working on a Retail Banking System (RBS) running on client/server platforms.

Developed and maintained a Client/Server Retail Banking System (RBS) using Sco/HP Unix, Windows, C, Oracle 7.3, Pro C.

Debugged existing code and implemented new business requirements.

Analyzed and developed stand alone modules for specific clients requirements using C language.

Analyzed and developed clients reports using JPL report writer.

Provided support for the users of the retail banking system software.

Programmed, operated and maintained machines used in the process of manufacturing heating units and fireplaces.

In ISO Auditing and Accounting standards environment, performed auditing duties and participate in the preparation of financial statements of different international oil companies such as: British Petroleum, British Gas, Shell, Clyde, and Lasmo in addition to other local companies. Auditing duties also included observing physical inventory count procedures.

Installed and setup software, trained PC users and performed other computer technical support duties.

Designed and programmed invoicing system using Clipper 87, performed book keeping, bank reconciliation, post transactions and other accounting duties.
