 Directs & Controls the activities related to rotating machinery engineering support and condition monitoring.
 Supervises and coordinates the provision of technical advice & assistance.
 Directs the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs related to vibration and lube oil to ensure equipments availability, minimum downtime & optimized maintenance.
 Leads the rotating equipment support, condition monitoring & quality assurance, RCM & RCA studies teams in cohesion, to facilitate achievement of set production targets within SHE directives.
 Monitors and reviews the KPIs.
 Set training and skills improvement of the staff within the section.
 Sets priorities and monitors results.
 Supervises and participates in long term studies of problems and equipment to verify nature of problems, determine causes and recommend long term solutions.
 Review monthly work activity reports prepared by group leaders highlighting major jobs undertaken.
 Ensure that the respective Inspection / Technical reports are prepared and released in timely and quality manner.
 Prepare the annual budget for the department.
 Lead the manpower & recruitment activities.

 Supervises and owns the condition monitoring programs for assigned group of condition monitoring engineers and related plants.
 Ensures critical machines base lines / start-up / shut down data is captured and updated.
 Participates in change management programs and drives communication rhythm set by higher management.
 Evaluates and keep tracks of training need for the group and takes necessary steps to meet targets.
 Reviews critical tasks sets priorities and timelines and monitors results.
 Ensures that on line / off line software programs are taken care for timely upgrades.
 Ensures Machinery name plate data and historical data is available and of good quality.
 Initiates and drives plans for the annual capital budget for condition monitoring team considering tools, training, upgrades, new enhancements / improvements / additions etc

 Owns availability & update of Rotating Machine Trains (Driver and driven) base lines / start-up / shut down data.
 Collect base line data for rotating equipments.

 Preventive Maintenance planning and Spares-management.
 Supervises assigned plant shutdown activities.
 Supervises & controls day-day maintenance activities.
 Well conversed with the safety aspects of the job and the risk attendant to chemical plant in general.
 Developing Preventive Maintenance working procedures.
 Initiates new Preventive Maintenance working procedures for newly installed equipments.
 Design of new structural projects, such as : bridges, walkways, platforms..etc

 Central planning for all field maintenance and turn-around/shut-down activities.
 Manpower planning for routine jobs and turn-around/shutdown jobs.
 Planning of material requirements.
