GasTreatment Unit -HBH(Hassi BaHamou) | SouthWest GasFieldsDevelopment Project (SWFDP)
— Lead all shift-based gas treatment operations at the HBH facility under the strategic SWFDP, ensuring continuous, safe,
and efficient hydrocarbon processing across the full unit train.
— Direct daily operations of the Slug Catcher, LP/HP compressors (Solar Turbines GTC), GDU/TEG dehydration unit, and
DPCU turbo-expander, maintaining all parameters within design specifications.
— Oversee fiscal metering integrity and export operations, coordinating with pipeline and logistics teams to meet contractual
nomination targets and custody transfer requirements.
— Enforce HSE standards and Permit-to-Work (PTW) protocols; conduct pre-shift safety briefings and toolbox talks for teams
of up to 15 field and panel operators.
— Coordinate planned and emergency shutdowns, equipment isolation, and start-up procedures; mentor junior operators to
build technical competency and operational discipline.

— Served as primary technical reference for refining and gas treatment operations, providing engineering support to shift
teams, maintenance, and plant management across all units.
— Conducted systematic performance monitoring and analysis of TOPPING, CRU, HDTU, GDU, and DPCU units; identified
deviations from design and implemented process optimisation strategies.
— Developed and maintained operating procedures, process manuals, and KPI dashboards, translating complex engineering
data into actionable field guidance for operational teams.
— Participated in HAZOP studies, process safety reviews, and MOC evaluations; collaborated with licensor representatives
and Solar Turbines OEM during turnarounds and catalyst replacements.
— Prepared technical reports, feed-to-product balance calculations, and performance summaries for senior management to
support strategic decision-making and investment planning.

— Managed shift operations for crude oil refining units including TOPPING (atmospheric distillation), hydrotreatment, and — catalytic reforming, ensuring safe and productive 24/7 operation.
Supervised tank farm and gasoline blending operations, ensuring product quality compliance and accurate inventory
management against delivery schedules.
— Monitored utilities operations (air production, N₂ package, water treatment, Solar Turbines GTG), ensuring uninterrupted
process support; maintained full HSE and permit register compliance.

CONTROL ROOM, REFINERY & GAS TREATMENT OPERATIONS
— Controlled and monitored all critical process variables for refining and gas treatment units from the central DCS control
room, maintaining stable and optimised plant operation across all shifts.
— Executed start-up, normal operation, and safe shutdown sequences for TOPPING, CRU, HDTU, and gas processing
units; managed alarm rationalisation and responded decisively to process deviations.
— Coordinated in real-time with field operators and shift supervisors; maintained detailed DCS logs, alarm records, and
comprehensive shift handover documentation.

REFINERY & GAS TREATMENT FIELD OPERATIONS
— Performed hands-on field operations across crude oil refinery and natural gas treatment units, developing comprehensive
practical expertise in process equipment commissioning, operation, and first-line maintenance.
— Executed routine inspections, equipment line-ups, sampling, and troubleshooting on distillation columns, heat exchangers,
