• Estimation of Decay heat of irradiated fuel assemblies (FAs) by using ORIGEN-2 to
ensure FAs long term cooling in spent fuel pool.
• Decay heat estimation of irradiated FAs for complete Cycle of plant as a part of
mitigation plan in case of emergency.
• Responded to Licensing Queries received from Regulatory Authority as lead
reviewer and chapter coordinator of FSAR chapter 15 and 19.2.
• Participated in model development of K-2/K-3 NPPs for DBAs and Severe Accident
Analysis (DEC-A&B) on RELAP and MELCOR. Review of Database and Engineering
Hand Book (EHB), technical reports of DSA at K-2/K-3.
• Conduct deterministic safety assessment of plant transients during operation to
meet Regulatory requirements. Implement updates to Final Safety Analysis Report
chapter 15 and 19.2 to meet PSR requirements.
• Participate in table-top discussion of SAMGs development of K-2/K-3 NPP.
• Preparation and review of technical reports/documents related to DSA.

• Design participation in the field of PSA model development of K-2/K-3 at CNPE,
Beijing, China for four months.
• Team Member of full scope PSA Level-I, which includes full power internal events,
Low power and shutdown, Internal Fire, Internal Flood PSA.
• Developed event trees for PSA model on Risk Spectrum software. This includes
detailed study of ACP-1000 systems, selection & classification of initiating events
(IEs) and defining success criteria of PSA modelled systems.
• Performed Fault Tree Analysis considering safety function of each system in case
of emergency.
