• Develop and manage the equipment maintenance budget, optimizing resources and controlling costs.
• Conduct regular safety inspections ensuring compliances with occupational health and safety regulations
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in equipment maintenance techniques, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate.
• Managing all Maintenance departments independently for entire project which included Operations team comprising Plant supervisor, Forman, Mechanics, Operators, Drivers, and Technicians.
• Ensure uninterrupted work at the site for smooth working of all plant and equipment.
• Determine the Fault tolerance mechanism to decrease and gradually eliminate faults in the system for providing tracking of Heavy equipment on site to site and case to case basis.
• Prepare maintenance schedules and checklists of various types of plant & equipment. Develop equipment history database and performance tracking system increasing overall suitability and continuous availability.
• Submit monthly comprehensive report to Project Manager and Head office. Liaise and coordinate with the Project Manager for the allocation and transfer of plant and equipment from and to sites including Moving equipment between sites.
• Liaise with the Contracts & Purchase Manager for the rental of any of plant & equipment. Ensure that such equipments are serviced regularly during its rental period.
• Controlling and managing all the day to day activities of the work shop and reporting to Operation Manager.
• Work scope includes, maintenance supervision of the equipment fleet, with least maintenance cost and minimum down time of equipment’s.
• Keep the work shop efficient to meet all type of maintenance and repair necessities of various equipments.
• Communicate with all other departments to ensure the efficiency level high.
• Manage the equipment and personnel administration of work shop.
• Control the store and purchasing of spare parts, maintain store inventory and warranty system.
• Prepare key performance indicators for the department and analyse data to identify improvement areas.
• Conduct training programs for the mechanics and keep their level of knowledge high. Conduct tool box meetings, and safety meetings.
• Involved in trouble shooting, preventive, running and brake down maintenance of heavy earth moving equipments like Loaders, Graders, Compactors and Dozers, (Mfg. Caterpillar), Hydraulic Cranes (Grove, Liebherr, Tadano, Manitowoc and P&H), Heavy trucks and tankers such as Ken Worth, Western Star, DAF, Auto Car, Top Kick etc.
• Participated in rebuilding, preventive and brake down maintenance of engines like Caterpillar, Deutz, Detroit, and Perkins which is used for powering the above said equipments.
• Engaged with the planning, scheduling and execution of preventive and break down program of a large fleet of vehicle including Cranes, Vacuum Tankers, Heavy Trucks, Trailers, And Earth Moving Equipments Like Dozers, Loaders, Excavators, And Graders used for rigging and other related operations of oil fields by the help of the program Material Maintenance and Management System.

- During the above period, experienced in trouble shooting maintenance & repairing of hydraulic and mechanical cranes with various capacities like Tatap&H, FMC Linkbelt, American, Demag, Manitowoc etc.
- Also engaged in maintenance of earth moving equipments like Dozer, Excavator, Grader Etc (Mfg. Beml, Tata P&H). Engaged with rebuilding of various types of engines such as Tata, Leyland, Cummins, Perkins, etc.
- Experienced in engine tune-up, troubleshooting with the help of various measuring equipments, calibration of fuel injection pump, engine analyzers, dynamo testing etc.
- In this period I was responsible for all the day to day activities of heavy equipments section and directly reported to the Resident Manager. Maintained/ all type of documents such as History Charts, Daily, Weekly, Monthly And Quarterly Reports etc. In addition to this made all type of planning and scheduling for maintenance program.
