It also came in at difficult time when country was facing Hugh power deficit & Mumbai was facing highest ever power tariffs. Reliance Distribution License was under renewal and Tata Power had started retailing in Mumbai in 2009 in the same licence area. This assignment was quite different from the usual utility profile due to parallel licensee competition from Tata Power and managing high tariffs Period facing Socio Political Outrages and internally the Organization was going through transformation and process driven operations through SAP.

Managing Director, North Eastern Electricity Supply Company of Odisha Limited (NESCO) and Director, WESCO, SOUTHCO, Odisha Distribution (October 2011 to August 2013)- These are PPP Companies between R-Infra and GOO. Profit Center Head at NESCO which is a regulated INR 1, 600 Cr electricity distribution business covering 27, 000 sq km area, 950, 000 customers and 3700 employees and 800 contract labors

Highlights:
•ATC loss in 2011-12 reduced by 2% for the first time in last 15 years.
•Successful liaison with Government including Energy Secretary / Principal Secretary / Finance Secretary / GRIDCO / POWERGRID for allocation of funds from state Schemes / central Schemes .Successful liaison with OERC for most favorable tariff order for year 2013-14.
•Initiated in-house transformer repairs facility improving quality of repairs at a reduced cost of transformer repairs.
