Key responsibilities: Design, market, offer and execute need-based sourcing & procurement outsourcing and consultancy service projects. Developed customized Procurement service products for small and medium-scale enterprises such as RFX management, strategic procurement, contract management, project expediting and coordination, dispute resolution, costing and estimation.
Designed and developed an online Business to Business (B2B) platform integrating suppliers and service providers of industrial goods and services. Driven successful business development campaigns through various business channels. Created an online superstore for Fast Moving Consumable Goods integrating local vendors and successfully generated positive returns by implementing digital marketing strategies.
Key responsibilities: Led the sourcing & procurement of entire project materials and services (including MEP packages, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing) worth USD 25 million. Established the procurement setup for the ‘Data Centre’ Business unit. Devised the procurement SOPs and developed strategic alliances with suppliers for key packages. Rendered crucial support to the Business Development Team for preparing cost estimates for new projects under the bidding stage.
Implemented the SAP-Ariba procurement platform and ensured smooth implementation of the Reverse Auction (RA) module to achieve additional cost savings of 8% on average at the same time enhanced transparency and increased procurement turnaround time.

Key responsibilities: Led sourcing & procurement of project materials, services and sub-contracts worth USD 250 million for the Shedgum-Yanbu-Rabigh section of the Master Gas System Pipeline project. Served as a single point of contact for all Procurement and Contractual matters. Ensured strict compliance with Saudi Aramco procurement standards to eradicate “Non-conformities”. Ensured timely completion of supplies for the project in challenging conditions.
Saved 15% cost of piping materials by developing alternate supply sources in ‘Low-Cost Courtiers’.
Steered the procurement activities to make up the inherited 45% progress deficit and avoided a time overrun of 3 months in overall project completion.
Implemented a digital library of project procurement documentation catering to NMR 601, NMR 602 and NMR 603 (over 8, 500 documents), felicitated with special admiration from the client.
Avoided inventories worth USD 2.2 million for the bulk materials for various bulk materials.
Eradicated the additional cost worth USD 400, 000 that had arisen due to ambiguous Quality Assurance (QA) requirements in the approved technical specifications of the Custody Metering System package.
Eradicated the potential delay of more than 3 months in the project completion due to the unscheduled repair work of 30 number 56-inch size ball valves (manufactured by a reputed European supplier), which had arisen due to failure of the valves at the project site due to latent design defects.
Acquired the expertise on Procurement and Quality Assurance procedures of Saudi Aramco and had trained fellow procurement professionals on the 9COMs, Regulated Vendor List (RVL), Order Placement Recommendation(OPR), SAES, SAEP, SAMSS, Non-materials requirements (NMR 601/602/603), Inspection levels as per the 9 COM system under SAEP-1151 (Form 175)/ SAEP-347 (sourcing from stockiest), Spare Part Data Packages (SPDP), etc. as stipulated under the Schedule-Q of Saudi Aramco contract.
Projects: 358 Kms of 56 Inch Gas pipeline corridor with 18 valve stations project in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).
Key responsibilities: Led the sourcing & procurement of USD 1.4 billion for the various project of power transmission system projects (66KV up to 800KV). Implemented the business transformation activities (project AGILE) along with the ACCENTURE team. Prepared and ensured strict compliance with the Service Level Agreements (SLA) with the internal customers. Supported the Business Development team for the preparation of ‘Cost Model’, ‘Business Plans’ and ‘Multi-Year Tariff’ petitions that had to be filed with the regulatory authorities. Assisted the corporate legal team in various crucial cases of statutory disputes and taxation related matters. Built and nurtured a high-performing sourcing & procurement team for the transmission business unit.
Eradicated the additional cost worth USD 8 million which had arisen due to a delay in land acquisition of the 765 KV Transmission system corridor project.
Implemented an E-Management Information System (E-MIS) system in the Transmission Business unit that provided the real-time status of the projects. Automated the escalation matrix for efficient management of day-to-day procurement activities. Enhanced the Service Level Agreement (SLA) for the order finalization cycle by 2 weeks for long lead package items.
Implemented the E-Note For Approval (E-NFA) for the Transmission Business unit that helped to eradicate the ‘management approval’. Contract drafting time was reduced to 40% and eliminated critical errors in the contracts.
Contributed to the implementation of the Master Data Management (MDM) system.
Eradicated the demurrage, detention and ground rent charges by implementing a group-level SOP.

Coordinated effectively with various agencies within and outside the organization to ensure placement of the orders at optimum cost and timely delivery complying with the stipulated quality standards. Supported the Business Development team in the preparation of project cost sheets and provided valuable inputs and “lessons learned” in past projects for incorporation in future project proposals.
Reduced the package cost of DDCMIS (DCS) by 40% through Value Engineering for 2X70MW Kutch Lignite Thermal Power Station Renovation & Modernisation (R&M) project.

Key responsibilities (Project Engineer Role): Supervised Installation, Testing and Commissioning of the entire gamut of Electrical & Instrumentation packages for the 'Dry Process' large capacity Cement plants to ensure timely completion of project execution with total end-user satisfaction.
Designed and developed control logic/ loops to avoid hardwired controllers to optimize Wagon Tippler and Side Arm Charger functionalities which helped reduce maintenance work and enhanced efficiency and reliability of the operations.
