Assisting the Project Manager and higher management to look after the overall project management.

Managing the team of design engineers and looking after the co-ordination between team members for timely deliveries etc.

As a Divisional Head, under the authority of Director Maintenance, management and allocation of resources for all aspects of maintenance activities of track, track components, track equipments and tools and various station buildings and depot buildings and structures.
Management and co-ordination of track and buildings maintenance systems and equipments in accordance with all relevant regulations, good industry practices and international benchmark.
Planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance for track and buildings division.
Assist the Maintenance Director in providing strategic direction, planning and managing the availability of track and civil work safety, maximizing reliability and providing adequate protection for employees, facilities and equipments.
Management of various sub-contracts related with the division and monitoring the performance of contractors/contracts as per defined criteria.
Drafting the contract conditions and specifications for various sub contracts for the division, receiving RFQs, reviewing the quotations and finalizing the contracts award etc.

Planning and preparing budget for the division for complete divisional resources and budgetary control over the expenses
Management of team of 18 including Managers, Sr Engineers, Engineers and technicians in the Track and Buildings division for Mumbai Metro.
Monitoring and management of the shift schedules of the team members.
Reviewing the RAMS/KPIs periodical reports and analyzing the reports for the improvements of the divisional activities and targets.
Interface with the various system related aspects like Operations, Signaling and telecommunications, E&M, Traction power distribution, etc
Management of safety aspects for track and buildings systems and equipments.
Effective management of Track and Buildings Division and assist the Maintenance Director and General Manager-Maintenance to take decisions in the areas of track and buildings maintenance.
Recruitment of the team members.
Leading a big team of employees including Junior Engineers and Technicians.
Complete maintenance of track system including inspection, manpower and material management, planning and execution of maintenance works and renewal works, subcontract management, etc.
Execution and supervision of Track renewal works including complete track renewals, through sleeper renewal, through rail renewal, etc
Supervising maintenance schedules, manpower & improving the assets by carrying out new works.
Guiding & leading the team members and projects.
Planning and executing special works within specific time duration and achieving the goals while maintaining train punctuality.
Assessment of the requirements of Railway tracks system for improvements to existing structure and for infrastructural development.
Managing manpower and renewal projects for the department.
Working with the latest track maintenance machines like tamping machines, PQRS, T28, DGS, BCM, SBC etc.
Monitoring operation & maintenance of various small machines used in daily works.
Mentoring entry-level and junior engineers to develop their skills.
Inspection and taking corrective measures for railway tracks, bridges, station yards, sidings & level crossings.
Analysing the required manpower, material, equipments, etc and sorting out the operational obstructions in smooth flow of rail traffic within punctuality constraints.
