Deal with recruitment and mobilisation / induction of European, Western, African, Asian, Arab and local manpower for various projects within Ma’aden Aluminium. Arrange advertisements and place them in different countries through authorized recruiting/advertising agencies, receive CVs, shortlist, arrange/conduct in-country and overseas interviews. Represent HR (Talent Acquisition) at interviews. Arrange for visas/travel/hotel arrangements where necessary for interviews. Generate employment offers in line with Company Job Family, arrange for pre-employment medical, visa process of selected candidates with concerned Consulates/Recruiting agencies through Government Affairs department, induction of new employees, etc. As part of the recruitment process, also responsible for generating various Job Descriptions, Job Evaluation, etc. To confirm all recruitments are carried out confirming to approved manpower plan. Represent HR (Talent Acquisition) at regular recruitment status meetings with departments, update manpower plans, as well as to determine the recruitment plans for future positions on the approved manpower plans are in line with the projects manpower requirements. Maintain accurate recruitment database. Authorise all recruitment related invoices for payment including expenses incurred by individuals that are not covered by agencies invoices. Assist married status employees in their family joining process. Secretary to HR Lead Team weekly meetings.
Contact and liaison point between overseas and local partners in a joint venture (Sea Port-Container Terminal Operation, Maintenance and Management) on matters related to Start-Up issues that involves corporate, legal, financial, administration, human resources, procurement, logistics, etc.

Arrange for medical, offer of employment, visa process of selected candidates with concerned Consulates through Government Affairs department, induction of new recruits, etc. As part of the recruitment processes, had also been responsible for generating various Job Descriptions, Job Evaluation, Job Grades, etc. To confirm all recruitments are carried out confirming to approved manpower plan. Arrange regular progress meetings with departments in order to announce status of ongoing recruitment processes, update the manpower plans, as well as to ensure the recruitment plans for other positions on the approved manpower plans are in line as per the timeframes. Maintain strong database of CVs of all categories through subscribed websites as well as through registered domestic and international recruiting agencies.
Control Incoming/Outgoing Correspondence, Administer Terminal and Apartments Cleaning Service Contract, Leasing Management Apartments including services, Port Passes for Employees, Vehicles and Visitors, Port/Customs approvals for materials/supplies/projects, etc., Administration of Company Vehicles, Immigration/Passport Services, Air/hotel bookings and relevant transports, Member on Safety Committee.
Manpower hiring including personnel matters, generation of job descriptions, compensation, medical, benefits (social security/gratuity, etc.), leave, travel arrangements, performance appraisal, annual performance bonus, promotion, career development/training, employees motivation, discipline, generate administrative policies and procedures including Code of Conduct, running/administration of Staff Camp, employees welfare, etc.

Domestic and overseas procurement activities (which included Mobile Harbour Cranes, Ship-to-Shore Gantry Cranes, Rail Mounted Gantry Cranes, Rubber Tyred Gantry Cranes, Straddle Carriers, Forklift Trucks, other Container Terminal Handling Equipment, Trailers/Head-Trucks/Chassis, Safety Equipment, spare parts, etc.) with relevant processes such as comparison of quotes and make recommendations to the Procurement Committee, raise PRs and generate POs, place orders, follow up deliveries, handle customs clearance formalities (air, sea and land customs), inspect/accept goods, deliver them to the stores/end users, process vendors/suppliers invoices, etc. In the case of services, quotes are compared, make recommendations to the procurement committee and award contracts to the selected contractors duly generating formal contract agreements, follow up timely execution of projects in accordance with the scope of works and specifications, acceptance of projects, process contractors payments, etc.

General Administration of Finance & Accounting Department, AMCs of office equipment/machineries, maintain contracts/legal documents and follow up any related matters, deal with vendors/suppliers queries, attend meetings and record minutes, coordination of Executive Management Committee Meetings, Board Meetings, Management Safety Committee Meetings, Marketing Committee Meetings, various Projects Meetings and required follow-ups, etc.
Provide Statistical Information (Production Volume/Operational Performance Statistics) on overall operations of the Container Terminal for the purpose of Management Decision Making, Interaction with IT Department for customisation of the computerised Terminal Operations System.

Hiring manpower from European, African, Arab and Asian countries including related correspondence (advertisements/short-listing/interviews, etc.) with the concerned recruiting agencies for deployment into the Ministry of Defence, Engineering Services and Sultan’s Armed Forces (Army/Air Force/Navy).
Tours/Inspection Visits and preparation of relevant reports and follow-up actions as required, handling Officers Annual Confidential Reports, Classified Documents and Office Security, arrange Commandant’s Conference for Military and Civilian Personnel, deal with visiting Military and Civilian dignitaries.
This post involved multiple appointments and additional responsibilities, as the Commandant had been the Station Commander, President Cantonment Board and Chairman of two educational institutions. Dealt with financial/administrative matters of one of the schools under the charge of the Commandant.
