On receipt of new project, study the Scope of Work, identify materials required for projects as per Drawings/BOQ as required client specifications/requirement.
Coordination with engineering when design / details are involved.
Reveivew the the procurement list and identify the long lead items.
Get approval from Project Manager for the procurement schedule.
Identify qualified suppliers for material.
Send the RFQ for the procurement items/material.
Coordination with procument department for the critical/major items.
Evaluate the tech-commecial proposal from the supplier.
Coordinate with suppliers to discuss the requirements of the offered quotation and negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery conditions.
Review the purchase orders / subcontract agreement as per project requirement.
Conduct occasional visits to the site.
Attend project review meeting and send daily/weekly/monthly progress report to the Client.
Maintain all records related to project.
Maintain cost control for all activities/procrement/site expenses/other expenses
