Oversee and lead the HR operations in the Area Office. The primary role of the HR Coordinator is the day to day implementation of personnel SOPs, supporting line managers and staff in personnel queries and issues. The HR Coordinator will also line manage and oversee two Technical HR Officers who have day to day management of recruitment and personnel in Irbid (which line manages a Technical HR Assistant) and Mafraq/Zarqa/Amman, and an HR Officer - Training who has day to day management of training and staff development in the Area Office.
Support the effective implementation of HR and Recruitment and personnel policies in Host Area Office, by implementing recruitment and personnel practices in accordance with NRC HR polices and Jordanian labor law. The Technical HR Officer will be the focal point for HR matters in the Host Area office and reports directly to the Support Manager.
Coordinate staff mobility in the region, including introductions, trainings, etc.
HR briefings for new employees(national & international) Sharing through one to one meetings or presentations the HR policies and procedures.
Promotes respect for cultural, religious and ethnic diversity, gender equality and fair treatment for all staff.
Validate Job description based on the job grading system and salary scale.
Ensures social security registration and follows procedural requirements.
Clarify employee tax obligations and employer procedural requirements.
manage individual promotions, sanctions and dismissals in accordance to Local legal frameworks and internal policies.
Define in collaboration with line managers the required competencies, minimum level of required professional and education and runs job requisitions.
Requests and approve updated job-descriptions on standard forms and attributes new positions within the function scale.
Organises pre-selection of candidates, interviews, language tests and technical assessments.
Ensure compliance with NRC policies and the local labor law in all procedures and processes.
Coordinate international staff exits through Amman when needed.
Coordinate with relevant partners, suppliers, authorities, lawyers etc.
Ensure and follow up with HQ that staff records are up to date and filed appropriately
Ensure reporting, documenting and payment of international staff and MERO staff benefits, social security, taxes etc.
Prepare periodic HR reports.
Advice and support line managers in HR processes.
Support in any other issue relevant for the Middle East Regional Office.
Responsible for contract management for all staff in the region, including job offers and contract amendments including MERO national staff.
Manages the on boarding process for all international staff in the region and all national staff in MERO.
Assists in administration matters related to HR.
Processing Payroll for MERO national staff.
Provides staff support and care, including administration for NRC medical cover and insurance advice in coordination with HR Advisor.
Supports line managers in all HR processes for MERO national staff in coordination with HR Advisor. Tracks leave and absence for national and international staff.
Liaises with Social Security and follow up on a monthly basis.

First, I was responsible for the HR Planning, and due to the rotations that UNRWA does to its employees, I worked nearly in everything in the HR Department.

1) Acting Staff Relations Officer (Feb - March 2014)
2) Acting Admin Assistant to the Deputy Director (Sep - Nov 2012)
Main Responsibilities:
Payroll:
Working on Payroll systems (Bayan, Sky software).
Medical Insurance:
Applying new insurance; add new employees to the insurance system.
Creating reports using different HR databases preparing official HR documentation like contracts and certificates regarding labor law and collective agreements.
Filing and screening of applications and CVs.
Interviewing applicants.
Manage and work with staff and their managers on performance appraisals at the end of the year.
Advises the Directors, heads and managers about the steps needed to take any disciplinary action against a staff member.
Maintain all employee training records.
Develop ways to continually improve the way Human Resources department performs.
Ensures archiving of HR documents/payroll information in accordance to local legal obligations.
Establishes individual personnel files for staff with standard structuring and ensures that personnel files are updated and checked regularly.
supports line managers and employees on the performance review process and makes sure that all staff has correct review form and required follow-up sessions are taking place during each performance review period.
Provides advice to supervisors on how to correct poor performance, to improve the skills and how to handle employee misconduct (disciplinary measures).
