1. Conduct Book review on Dubai Eye "Talk of Books"
2. Communicate with selected schools, with a particular focus on Emirati Students to encourage their participation in the competitions associated with the Festival (Story Writing, Poetry and Reading Cup Challenge)
-Conduct Awareness Sessions for schools to inform them about the competitions. This would primarily be for the Arabic Entries, although there is a mirrored competition in English, if schools are interested
- Do press and radio coverage with particular focus on Arabic
- Prepare the Arabic Winning Entries Book for the Poetry and Story Writing Competitions
- Notify winners and assist in organization of prize-giving ceremony during the Literary Festival in March
3. Facilitate with the Schools the Arabic Education Day that the festival conducts with the featured authors by communicating with Schools and Arabic Author’s to organize school visits to Education Day events or students coming to the festival venue
4. Promotion of the Festival
- Collect and maintain an active data base of all private schools in Dubai that fall under KHDA and categorize them in terms of language taught, curricula, percentage of Emirati Students enrolled
- Find out and contact key personnel in the selected establishments, to include head teachers, and librarians, and reading specialists, Islamic studies teachers, social studies teachers
- Work with Communications Team to promote the Festival through social media, radio and press interviews with a special emphasis on education and literacy and a focus on Arabic
- Gather statistics and feedback from the selected schools during and after the events
- Prepare the Arabic Children’s Program Leaflet and help distribute the leaflets to the Dubai Schools
