Its a sustainable multi-functional mega-project located in the heart of Yas Island intended as a media hub (as Twofour54) and a campus for various globally recognized events.
Duties
• Leading a team of Draftsmen to generate all the required architectural
shop drawings from the IFC (including not limited to General
Arrangement, Block Work, Detailed Sections, etc…)
• Develop & Coordinate the Project’s Door Schedule between all parties
• Coordinate and facilitate with all subcontractors to submit the required
shop drawings
• Review all submitted shop drawings by subcontractors and ensure
compliance with project needs
• Ensure shop drawings are coordinated with all departments prior to
submission
• Tackle any comments by the consultant and communicate the same with
the concerned party
• Maintain open communication channel between our technical department
and site team
• Maintain proper relationship with the consultant, tackle any issues
immediately and avoid rework
• BIM Coordination of Architectural and Engineer Disciplines through
Project’s level of development
• Attending weekly BIM coordination meetings for onsite ongoing work to
provide input on enhancing coordinated shop drawings
• Coordinating with all involved parties to ensure Revit success throughout
the project
• Attend By-weekly progress meetings with client representative, consultant
and subcontractors.

It is a distinct hotel, residence and serviced apartments that consists of a
twin tower (60 story each) complex with three-level podium which is located
right in the heart of Downtown Dubai. Featuring a three-level sky bridge
that connects the two towers at level 51.
Duties;
• Responsible for the hard and soft interiors of the project
• Review the shop drawings prior to the submission to the consultant.
• Issuing request for information (RFI’s) as per project’s needs.
• Handling various packages such as;
1. Landscape.
2. Spa
3. Interior design.
4. Project’s mock up.
• Monitoring Mock up shop drawings and materials updates.
• Following up with subcontractor submissions up to approval.
• Preforming material inspections such as marble dry lay.
• Site inspections and observations.
• Attending Client’s weekly progress meetings.
• Maintain proper communication Channels with client representatives
and consultant.
• Review and obtain approval of As built drawings from consultant.
Presidential Palace Project, Abu Dhabi - United Arab Emirates

Also known as Qasr Al Watan which is located at Ras Al Akhdar, Abu
Dhabi. XCG scope consisted of the Main Building package which spanned across 84, 065 square meter and the H.H Presidential Wing which is 17, 238 square meters. These are intended for the official use of the UAE government such as meetings, offices, state events and limited tourism tours.
Duties;
• Reviewing of the shop drawings
• Request for inspection & approval for installed material on site. (RFIA)
• Material delivered on site. (MIR)
• Obtain client’s approval on the submitted Mockup.
•Issuing the NCR’s (Non-conformance report) & SON’s (Site
observation notice)
• Offsite inspections for marble and wood works.
• Checking the progress of the work at site for monthly payment
• Assisted in the design development of the flooring, ceilings and walls
as deemed necessary from the site conditions
• Attending Client’s weekly progress meetings
• Responsible for the selection, approval, installation and handing over
of the FF&E
Worked as part time bases since 2009 and full since June 2012 under the capacity of Designer. I was responsible for the interior designing and material selection for VIP private residential projects in Abu Dhabi & Ajman.
Duties;
• Develop initial ideas about potential projects, discuss requirements in
detail with clients.
• Site inspection prior to initial design.
• Consider materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiate
project fees.
• Producing ‘mood’ boards to present to clients.
• Producing presentation materials and in coordinating FF&E designs
with vendors and other resources.
• Prepare detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and
schemes, often using computer-aided design (AutoCad) & (3dmax).
• Review and detail shop drawing for construction plans.
• Review details of technical drawings or specifications.
• Work in a team with other designers.
• Assist the project team in documenting FF&E design on a variety of
project types.
• Supervise work at the design stage and on-site.
• Work closely with quantity surveyor to establish costs and work schedules on projects, with architects and other design professionals,
manufacturers and suppliers.
This internship was a chance to open my eyes widely to the beginning of my professional line of being an interior designer. In Xavier Cartron I had the chance to explore interior design in a real perspective.
The Interior Design Faculty members at AUD have taught my fellow students and I to have our own identities; they instilled in us the passion to push our imagination to far horizons.
