Pre-award stage;
1. Conduct all necessary consortiums & JVs to submit our tender,
2. Review all tender documents and highlight all risks and prepare comments list,
3. Assist tender team in preparing any clarifications (contractual),
4. Ready to negotiate the comments with partners (if any) first, then with the client,
5. Ensure the awareness/ understanding to the contractual obligations/ risks for all concerned parties/ departments,
6. Cooperate with the risk team in preparing the risk assessment sheet,
Award stage;
1. Conduct all necessary negotiations with the client,
2. Ensure that all pre-agreed items have been reflect in the final draft,
3. Signature of the Contract,
4. Prepare a timetable for all obligations need to be fulfilled with required time,
5. Cooperate with all concerned departments or partners to make things happen in due coarse
6. Transfer the contract to the operation team.
Post-award stage;
1. Build a communication flow with the operations team to ensure smooth execution in line with contract requirements,
2. Follow-up the contractual issues, provide the necessary timely support,
3. Conduct the necessary contractual negotiations with the clients/ subcontractors.
4. Cooperate with the commercial & claims sections when needed,
5. Ensure the proper close-out of all contracts and subsequent obligations (if any).
6. Ensure that copy of all contractual records and agreements along the various stages are in hand.

B. (From April 2020 till Jan 2022); Assigned for managing special projects (mainly EPC & PPP contracts) in pre-award, contract negotiation and post award phases with same above tasks.

1. Post-contracts’ management was a new service introduced with my joining to the company. So, all the initiation process challenges of the new services have been conducted, such as checking the process manual, the existing contracts drafts, make the necessary edits, create new drafts for different contract types, conduct an awareness session trough different department…etc,
2. Prepare/ Review the contracts documents / purchase orders before issuance to contractors/ consultants according to each work package discipline,
3. Prepare any different tailored agreements as the case may be,
4. Ensure the proper distribution of signed contracts to all concerned departments,
5. Checks conformity of all documentation called for in the contract, including guarantees, performance bonds, insurance and the like with agreed formats and processes as required.

7. Review and assess the claims from the contractors & consultants in compliance with contractual terms and time/ cost scales, and prepare the required replies or counter claims,

9. Evaluate/ approve the submitted Variation Requests/ issued Variations,
10. Attend the progress meetings of the projects (as required),
11. Ensure the proper close-out of all contracts and subsequent obligations (warranty, retention, disputes…ect),

11. Comply with and use of organizational forms and processes to ensure internal approvals are obtained in accordance with our client policies and the Delegation of Authority
12. Provide the complete service interface between contractors, consultants and the Client’ Commercial & Procurement department by ensuring that the contract requirements are met in accordance with budget and program.

i. Responsible for managing various contracts in same time (drafting, evaluation, negotiation and execution) including short forms, Construction Contracts (FIDIC or Adhoc conditions), Consultancy agreement, JVA, NDA…etc.

vi. Provide a guidance and written support on contractual matters to the project managers or other operational staff (i.e. drafting the contractual supporting letters & necessary amendments...etc),
vii. Ensure the proper implantation of the contract according to time and budget constraints, and provide the necessary guidance & support to mitigate the impact of any time/ cost variance
viii. Review the outcomes from the contract administrators at various project before communicating to owners and provide the necessary inputs,
ix. Follow up and maintain the contractual records and correspondences of the projects in hand,
x. Prepare and review the claims/ counter-claims in connection with the projects with the collaboration with planning and cost control departments to prepare the time and cost impact,
xi. Ensure the contract close-out (TOC, retention, LGs..etc) in proper manner, and the application of any granted extension or renewal to the contract.
