Project Scope: Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of (a) Revetment works including 3D modelling (b) Dredging, reclamation and soil improvement works (c) 60 m Quay Wall (d) Pre-casting and installation of corelocs armour units (e) Piles (f) Retaining wall (g) Drainage infrastructure works (h) Electrical duct banks and cable pits

Project Scope: Engineering Design (Firefighting system only), Procurement and Construction (EPC) of (a) Revetment works (b) Dredging, reclamation and soil improvement works (c) 1, 100 m Quay wall (d) Pre-casting and installation of 350 units of manholes and pits for infrastructure networks (e) Electrical substations, a multi-storey control room building as well as a prayer and dining facilities building (f) 85, 000m2 of heavy duty interlocks paving (g) Road works (h) 1, 300 m of rails for cranes (i) 3, 600 ton structural steel pipe rack (j) Electromechanical works

Achievements:
• Estimated, prepared, submitted and followed up successful proposals for variation orders under direct supervision of senior management, worth USD 9.2 Million, in a timely manner.
• Played a vital role in maintaining the variance between certified woks and actual work performed within 5%.
• Consolidated the material take-offs and prepared material requirement plans, allowing reduction in material wastages by up to 15%.
• Take-off and procurement of 700 tons of reinforcement steel while keeping the wastage factor under 1.5%.
• Successfully coordinated with the Project’s ENGINEER and supervised a team of draughtsman to finalise civil works IFC drawings besides performing routine Project Control duties at the Port of Salalah Project.
• Coordinated design related matters between the design team and site staff from the project’s Home Office and reducing procedural times by constant follow-up.

• Generating tender budget at beginning of the project followed by monthly / quarterly updates and rolling forecasts.
• Monitoring costs under different cost centres in comparison with the budget and exercising control.
• Supervising quantity surveyors for preparation of monthly invoices with a focus on maximising revenues.
• Reporting of predefined Key Performance Indicators to the higher management.
• Checking the actual progress of activities on site and comparing it against the planned activities.
• Generating S-curves from actual and planned quantities of work and seeking directions from the Project Manager for control measures.

• Maintaining of a risk register and enlisting the associated costs that are either positive or negative.

Achievements:
• Planned, coordinated and monitored timely completion of over 1, 000, 000m3 of earth works and approx. 80, 000 m3 of concrete works including planning of resources to carry out the works while working with Descon Engineering.
• Received a certificate of appreciation from the client for timely completion of one of the project milestones that were the civil works for 3km of 132kv power lines while working with Descon Engineering.
• Estimated, prepared and submitted successful claims worth approx. USD 30 Million under direct supervision of Regional Contracts Manager.

• Successfully managed the overall operation and maintenance of a cantonment with a team of 55 technically qualified individuals along with plant, equipment / vehicles.
• Prepared standard operating procedures for routine operations and maintenance works for the new cantonment.
• Initiated and successfully implemented the system for prequalifying, shortlisting and awarding subcontracts for maintenance works.
• Maintained a very high level of motivation and professionalism amongst my team members.

• Supervised preparation of shop drawings and submitted to the Engineer for approval.
