Key Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive eye examinations including refraction, slit-lamp biomicroscopy, intraocular pressure measurement, and fundus evaluation.

Prescribe accurate optical corrections (glasses and low vision aids) and collaborate with the in-house optician for timely dispensing.

Provide clinical support in pre-operative cataract evaluation (biometry, IOL selection) and post-operative follow-up care.

Counsel patients on visual hygiene, eye disease prevention, spectacle use, and cataract surgery decisions.

Diagnose and manage common anterior and posterior segment conditions and refer advanced cases to the ophthalmologist.

Maintain organized and accurate patient records (paper or EMR-based).

Support weekly free eye check-up camps and school vision screening programs along the Indo-Nepal border.

Assist in optical sales, contact lens fitting, and medication guidance through coordination with the in-house pharmacy.

Collaborate with a team of 2 ophthalmic assistants, 1 optician, and 1 cleaner to ensure smooth patient flow and care delivery.

Educate the community on eye health through outreach and awareness initiatives.
