- My current role is Assistant Project Manager for the Repair and Maintenance Contract of Airport Special Systems at Hamad International Airport, Doha, Qatar. My daily activities include, client liaison, managing client expectations, managing operation teams (180 personnel), executive decision making and fulfilling the roll of the Project Manager during his absence.
- QA/QC Executive for the Special Systems Repair & Maintenance Project at Hamad International Airport (HIA) and Project Management for the Airport Security Systems including Access Control System (ACS) and Video Surveillance System (VSS); a system recognized as one of the largest single site CCTV systems in the world.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Managing several technical teams operating remotely in a security controlled environment
- Ensuring the operational needs of the customers, both commercial and government are exceeded.
- Liaise with customer and end users to assure their operational requirements are met.
- On-going liaison and accountability to airport authority, immigration and Ministry of Interior (Airport Police)
- Managing resources, spares and third party contractors
- Execute and monitor project activities
- Investigating recurring technical problems
- Researching contemporary and emerging technical solutions to identify the most effective solutions for the business and advising the client accordingly
- Provide updates on customer and corporate issues participating in scheduled operational meetings as in routine with team leads and employees.
- Prepare and update status reports, develop project-related documentation and implement lessons learned.
- Prepare project statistics and present them to the client and key stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Participate in project performance review meetings and discussions.
- Manage project team responsible for monthly project report document preparation, scanning, indexing and document imaging.
- Assure all contractual obligations and deliverables are met
- Proactively coordinate all aspects of the project, determine new ways of project development and to keep the Project Manager well informed of any updates.
- Attended industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provided feedback and information on market and creative trends
- Presented to and consulted with mid and senior level management on business trends with a view to developing new services, products, and distribution channels
- Identified opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
- Used knowledge of the market and competitors, identified and developed the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
- Presented new products and services and enhanced existing relationships
- Involved in scheduling appointments, preparing and delivering presentation to the client, having researched their business and requirements
- Maintained customer relationships and ensured customer loyalty through excellent customer service as well as meeting all client needs appropriate to their business

- Acted as a liaison between client area and technical organization by planning, conducting, and directing the analysis of the most complex, strategic, corporate-wide business problems to be solved with automated systems
- Provided technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements
- Applied knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position client for the future
- Worked with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes
• Assisted in the management of social media and Web advertising campaigns to maximize the return on advertising investments
• Executed day-to-day social media initiatives; including posting diverse content and developing strategies to improve user engagement and drive action across all major channels - Facebook, Twitter, etc
• Created and maintained a social media calendar for short-term viral initiatives and long-term brand campaigns
• Managed and maintained the analytics systems to track social media engagement and results, and create monthly social media reports.
• Created and monitored effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of social media programs. Analyze, review and report on effectiveness of campaigns in an effort to maximize results.
• Conceptualized and execute new promotional contests to drive increased engagement from past and future customers
• Responded to negative customer experiences that are communicated via social media while serving as a liaison to our customer service team for ultimate resolution
• Monitored competitors and created competitive reports that provide rankings and any key learnings
• Provided feedback on the new re-design of the company website as well as wrote content for it

• Used Google's PPC service in order to better optimize our site based on popular keyphrases (SEO)

• Built a CRM database and communicate with existing customers whilst acquiring hundreds of customers
• Distributed hundreds of e-mail campaigns through a web-based tool called Active Campaign
• Implemented content and images through HTML for the eDM's, integrated Webtrends Tags, tested campaigns and distributed to the database
• Developed highly interactive airport IT presentations for the managers to use in their meetings with customers. The presentations were also used to train new employees.
• Wrote basic incident reports, observation reports and assisted Sr. Engineers in conducting basic testing.
• Received basic training on airport IT systems architecture including Airport Operational Database (AODB), and Information Broker (IB).
• Received basic training for the Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) components including; Servers, Workstations, Wireless Network, Scanners and Network. Additionally, received basic training in (BRS) “Ultra Track” system basic operations, message flow, systems interfaces, and message structure.
• Assisted Sr. Engineers in basic troubleshooting, writing reports and documenting systems faults.
• Received training on SITA BagMessage functions and interfaces to the Baggage Handling System (BHS) and Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS).
• Received basic training for the SITA Departure Control System (SDCS) components including; Weight & Balance and Check In.
• Received basic training on Common User Terminal Equipment (CUTE) connectivity and Non CUTE connectivity using VPN (Token)
• Learned the basic SDCS interfaces such as SITA TEX, and Baggage Source Massages (BSM’s)
Assisted Sr. Staff in preparing incident reports, systems problems reports, problems resolutions reports, customer presentations and market material.
