To develop and maintain Data Governance and EDW Strategy & Roadmap in close coordination with all stakeholders, Business and BI Planning teams. PRAL is a Software House and is fully owned by Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Pakistan (the national revenue service).

Professional Achievements:
1. Achieved corporate goal of implementing an in-house developed revenue data warehouse by managing DWH project for national revenue service (the FBR, Pakistan). Main achievement is design, development and implementation of corporate data warehouse through complete SDLC. Successfully overcome challanges in this project included integration of data from various tax management systems and external agencies, execution of data cleansing algorithms and development of taxpayer’s complete 360o profile. This project includes an agile Business Intelligence reporting system which produces large number of pre-defined reports and ad hoc analytical reports.
2. Lead data analysis job for FBR which resulted in additional revenue equivalent of over 530 million USD through analysis of collection data, taxpayer’s declarations and identification of gaps within withholding statements and revenue collection (May-June, 2012).
3. Successfully achieved corporate goal of up to 90% reduction in revenue collection reporting time and data quality improvement by managing and successfully implementing ‘Collection Automation Project’ for nation-wide computerization of revenue collection in all branches of State Bank of Pakistan and National Bank of Pakistan. 4. Recently (November, 2012) carried out risk profiling of corporate category taxpayers for identification of possible tax evasion and false declarations through analysis of taxpayer’s historical data and application of risk-measuring criteria. The result of this activity was identification of high-risk taxpayers and list of audit cases. This audit is expected to generate additional revenue equivalent to 250 million USD before June, 2013.
Role & Responsibilities:
Comprehensive responsibility for the fulfilling data analysis requirements of Pakistan’s national revenue Service, the FBR.

Independent Consultant at United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD)

Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Pakistan initiated this project. This project was sponsored by United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) and purpose was to pilot implementation of first-of-its-kind web-based Goods-Declaration-Service for Pakistan Customs.

Job Responsibility:
1. To conceptualize, designed and developed and propose Pakistan Custom’s Goods Declaration Portal, “Electronic Document Exchange” (EDEx) for Pakistan Customs.

2. Business requirement analysis, stakeholder’s needs identification / evaluation and development of a technology solution to ensure effective information exchange among Custom Authorities and traders.

Major achievements include development of Electronic Document Exchange portal (EdEx) system (using Oracle AS10g and Forms 10g) for importer / exporter to electronically file the declaration documents for Federal Board of Revenue (FBR), Pakistan.

Applied technologies included Oracle10g database, Oracle Database, Application Server 10g and Oracle Portal10g.

1. Development of Medix Health-Care ERP for a chain of large hospitals in Pakistan. The solution was successfully delivered within monitory budgets and given time-lines. It is implemented in two hospitals. Implementation is underway in three more hospitals.

2. Management of offshore development projects for Excel Solutions; an Omaha, USA based Software Development Company. Delivered projects included;

Chief Technology Officer at Gulfnet Pakistan (Pvt.) Ltd.

Professional Achievements:
1. Achieved company’s goal of indigenously developing company’s flag-ship product, a complete ERP system for service industry using Oracle technologies. The developed software modules included Financials, Distribution, Human Resource Management and Billing. The project completed successfully and the ASP version of this application was sold to a US company.
2. Successfully developed and implemented Inventory Management and Budget Control and Management systems for a large government organization. These were multi-million US dollar and over 15, 000 man-hours projects and were completed successfully within given targets of time and budget.

3. Java based internet billing system. The system had extensive features of tariff customization and was fully compliant with RADIUS protocol.

4. Worked as consultant for National Database Organization (NDO) Pakistan. Participated in preparation of RFP document for Country’s largest data warehousing project.

Role & Responsibilities:

Complete responsibility of managing software development projects and providing technical leadership to development of ERP system for service industry.
 Responsibilities included planning and preparation and review of deliverables in various forms including written reports and presentations. Project proposals, pre-sales presentations, client meetings and project sponsor communication management.
