Currently representing Project management office responsible for overall Coordination & Project control of EPC power projects under execution by the electrical division mainly GIS Substation projects (Up to 400kV) for Client “Oman Electricity Transmission Company S.A.O.C.”

Key Result Areas
• Front leading project planning & scheduling activities starting from NTP (Notice to Proceed) to TOC (Taking Over Certificate) ensuring on time completion
• Develop and own detailed project execution plan using Primavera P6 considering contract requirement, scope, constraint & resources. Ensure project plan approval from Client
• Liaise with local authorities for statutory approvals and licenses required for the projects
• Ensuring timely release of engineering deliverables, submission to Client & receiving approvals
• Prepare & circulate Weekly, Monthly Project report and highlights critical areas for the attention of Management and Client to keep the project on schedule
• Monitor progress, update activities status and periodic schedule project program. Generate look ahead schedule, critical path and target Milestones based on plan
• Identify potential delays from the Baseline and takes the necessary actions together with respective project team for recovery plan
• Attend project review meetings with sub-contractors/clients at site to review and discuss work progress, document & highlight areas of concern to resolve related issues
• Periodic site visits to ensure progress of the work as per plan & report the same to Senior Management & take corrective action to avoid any adverse impact on project performance
• Engaged in procuring material, create PR/PO, coordinating & managing follow-up with vendors
• Timely submission of invoices to client, monitor & control project cash flow as per set target
• Preparation of Cost variation claim and extension of time (EOT) claim for client approval
• Identification of risks, facilitate resolution of issues with internal and external relevant parties
• Ensure high levels of operational efficiency, quality and cost-effective utilization of resources
• Developing or enhancing project management skills and knowledge through imparting training & mentoring project teams

Responsible for execution of electrical packages for Super Critical Power plant, Project covers all works related to engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning of main plant BTG package and afterwards owned responsibility to lead construction activities at site

Project: 1980MW (03 Units of 660 MW) coal fired power plant at Koradi, Nagpur (Maharashtra).

Key Result areas
(I) Project Management & Execution of Electrical Packages Feb 2010 - Nov 2013

• Handled execution of electrical packages mainly Power Transformers, MV/LV Switchgear, DC system, Power & Control Cables, Cable Tray and Grounding system for power plant
• Ensure required inputs are communicated to the engineering team, co-ordinate with Joint Venture companies (Mitsubishi, Japan) and Vendors for submission of documents and early resolution of related issues
• Monitoring and executing packages with respect to budgeted cost, demand forecasts & time overruns to ensure timely execution
• Frequent visit to supplier works to take note on actual status, discuss & resolve constraints
• Completed procurement, manufacturing, testing and timely dispatch of electrical equipment to site in line with project schedule
• Conduct meetings with other disciplines and vendors for review of project progress and Inputs/Interface requirement in line with advancement of construction activities
• Responsible for timely notification of scope deviation, cost & time implication to client
• In case of change in project scope by customer, review the technical deviations and price implications in consultation with engineering
• Monitor and Control project activities, report project progress to Project Director/Management
• Identifying risk & opportunity that may impact the timely completion of the Project. Draws attention of the Project Director for immediate necessary actions on such issues

(II) Construction Management of Electrical system Nov 2013 - Oct 2015

• Undertake responsibility to lead and manage electrical construction activities at power plant site
• Responsible for supervision & installation of electrical systems for the power plant which mainly includes
 Installation, oil filling & filtration of all Power Transformers (31 Nos.) up to 400kV
 Installation of cable tray network for the complete plant, Cable raceways/conduits, underground trenches. 200 KM tray & 1200 MT of Steel
 220V & 24V Battery charger, 3060 AH Battery Banks, DCDBs, 150KVA UPS, UPS battery
 Installation PMCC, MCC, Control Relay Panels & Generator Auxiliary Panels
• Managing sub-contractors, providing them work fronts and validate work progress
• Regular interactions with customer for day to day erection checks and clearing work protocols
• Co-ordination and follow up with suppliers and design office for drawing, engineering issues, short supplies and forecast material as per front availability.
• Conducted client inspection of material received at site, application of material receipt certificate and support raising invoice to client

Responsible for execution of Transmission Substation projects (400kV & 220 kV) right from initiation till handling over to client
Key Result areas
• Assist PM in managing issues related to design, commercial and technical aspects of the project
• Responsible to understand the scope and prepare project execution plan using Microsoft Project
• Continuous update, monitor and track project schedule, prepare and circulate Monthly Project reports to Client
• Follow up with vendors for manufacturing status, inspection and delivery of equipment
• Manage task assignments and project execution on a daily basis, Plan, organize & control resources for project
• Regular visit to site, understand status of site progress and support site team during execution
• Coordinate & ensure Quality and HSE requirement are under compliance at each stage of project
• Monitor and verify subcontractor progress and authorize payments
• Understands risks as well as what may be causing a change in risk exposure and actions to avoid/mitigate
• Properly document all project related communication as per ISO and global guidelines
