• Responsible for mechanical construction activities, ensuring all scope of works are achieved in accordance with the contract requirements and timeframe, and in compliance with client’s specifications and established standards.
• Handling all piping technical queries and investigating all field pipe work related problems, including field change notice preparation as required.
• Controlling the planning procedures of piping based on starting and completion for each phase of construction, ensuring priority deviations are resolved.
• Responsible for installation of rotary/static equipment (pump, tower, vessels, compressor, tanks etc.) including levelling pad installation, equipment erection, centring, alignment etc.
• Preparation of rigging plan and route finalization for transporting equipment to the site from lay-down yard.
• Check preservation status of equipment and ensure that preservation log is maintained.
• To ensure that engineering data and materials are available on time on site.
• Preparation / review of construction and test Procedure, Risk assessments, Method statements etc.
• Coordinating with Engineering and liaise with the EPC partner on detail engineering requirements.
• Raising MTO(s) for all additional materials required for construction.
• To assess any deviations from quality control procedures or requirements requested by the contractor, and make appropriate recommendation
• Ensure that hydro test reinstatement is to be done as per procedure.
• Ensure that all punch list items are resolved; client handover is satisfactorily concluded and that there is no prolongation of project.
• Maintain records of site activities and check sub-contractor records for any additional claims.
• Analyse the performance of subcontractor and see that manpower control is exercised in accordance with original plan.
• Ensure that sub-contractor carry out construction in compliance with drawings and procedure.
• Seeks compliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, and promotes a safe working environment.
• Review content of construction drawings and procedures prior to issue, in order that construction execution is optimized in the most cost effective, safe and timely manner.
• Preparation of revision drawings for Piping Layout and Isometric drawings.
• Supervise the fabrication, erection activities of piping, storage tanks and steel structure.
• Plans, organizes and executes fabrication and erection works in accordance with project schedule and erection sequencing.
• Assign manpower and equipment in accordance with priorities
• Preparation of scope of work and estimation of mechanical works.
• Detailing of piping and preparation/ review of shop drawings.
• Responsible for site modification and ensure field engineering adherence to standards
• Monitor the preparation of project documentation and ensure that it have been prepared as per project requirement
• Provides reports on project progress against the approved plans, bringing to notice potential delay and recommends solutions
• Monitoring the daily work activities of Sub Contractor and responsible for updating Sub Contractor progress reports and forward to planning department.
• Supervision of “As Built” drawing preparation.
• Responsible for line checking after hydro test to complete the post punch list prior to sign-off the test packages before signing the completion of piping / mechanical
• Ensure that hydro test/pneumatic test and reinstatement is to be done as per procedure
• Carrying out final P&ID check of installed piping systems
• Examine engineering proposals for constructability
• Maintain the necessary records to ensure full quality assurance requirements are met
• Co-ordination with engineering team for technical queries / clarifications
• Coordinating with Safety and QA/ QC dept. for smooth functioning of works
• Implement HSE procedure and ensure and Safe work practices and conduct safety stand downs at site.

• Execution of construction activities such as cold bending, pipe stringing, welding, NDT, coating, welders qualification, laying, back filling line with the section plans and construction schedule
• Carry out site visits to ensure quality, project schedule adherence and compliance with drawings are achieved
• Identifies material, specification, Inspection requirements and organizes for stage inspection as required
• Ensure drawings and associated documents are received in a timely manner from Engineering to meet project delivery schedule
• Participate in meetings with client, sub-contractor and vendor representatives & Preparation of minutes of meeting
• Preparation of correspondences, concussion requests and technical presentations.
• Preparation/ review of test packages
• Responsible for MC & CC walk down, supervise package preparation and punch clearance
• Execution of pigging, testing and drying of pipeline
• Coordinates between Construction Supervisors to rectify problems associated with the construction phase of project
• Schedules and supervises day-to-day site activities to ensure the proper utilization of manpower and equipment.
• Responsible for PTW system and preparing job safety analysis to meet the requirement of permit to work procedure
• Responsible for safety and ensure that company safety regulation are applied in all areas.
• Responsible for piping erection and pipe support installation in accordance with schedule, Procedures, Specifications, Priorities and Availability of Construction Drawings
• Coordinates the activities of contractor in their area of responsibility and monitors their activities to ensure that construction proceeds according to the construction schedule
• Ensure the productivity and quality is maintained by subordinates.
• Coordinate with other disciplines in site.
• Request spools, Supports, Fittings and Field erection materials as per schedule
• Review technical documentation / drawings / projects / schedules.
• Responsible for counter checking by Isometric/Piping Plan drawings for spool erected in the correct location, orientation, alignment and plumpness.
• Organizing and allocation of right manpower for fabrication & erection
• Daily meeting with site supervisors to meet the project schedule.
• Coordinating with planning department for work schedules and Organizes materials & equipment for upcoming jobs.
• Assist design Department in solving piping modification and technical problems in the field
• Plan/schedule own work priorities and activities in line with the section plans and construction schedule referring unresolved conflicts to construction manager.
• Ensures regular inspection and maintenance of workshop machinery, equipment, tools and scaffolding.
• Preparation of field piping system test packages and scheduling of Hydro tests.
• Responsible for line checking the punch items before hydro test as per P&ID, and ISO drawing prior for testing
• Preparation/review of as built drawings
• Follows the work permit system and ensure construction crew is working safely.
