• Experience in procurement of all major materials for Saudi Arabian oil & gas refineries such as Saudi Aramco, SABIC, SASREF, SADARA, PetroRabigh and Luberef.
o Knowledge in API, ASME/ASTM material specification, SAMSS requirements and all inspection activities required for procurement of major raw materials.
o Handled procurement of raw materials for storage tanks, process equipment, pressure vessels and cladded pipe spools.
o Lead the procurement department in handling the internal, ISO, API & Saudi Aramco audits.
Procurement Activities:
Involves procurement of CS/SS & clad plates, pipes, flange/forgings, fittings, gaskets, fasteners, welding consumables and all materials / services required to complete the job.
Read, Study & understand the MTO, IPR, technical delivery specifications, drawings, material grades and quantity.
Reviewing the material requirement and choosing the appropriate supplier for floating the inquiries to project approved & all potential suppliers.
Receiving quotations, Comparing cost, Negotiate with suppliers to finalize best price, delivery time, quantity, payment terms & scope of work. Co-ordinate with engineering and QC for the technical acceptance of the materials.
Issuance of purchase order/ LOI to the finalized supplier.
Co-ordinate with the finance, logistics, engineering and project departments to assure that all brought out components to reach the warehouse in time as per the project schedule.
Evaluating the suppliers on monthly basis for their performance and keeping track record for future purchases
Floating inquiries to all potential suppliers for raw materials & service required in static equipment (Pressure Vessels, process columns & storage tanks).
Receiving quotations with technical and commercial conditions.
Reviewing the quotation and identify if it is technically acceptable and preparing cost comparison sheet with delivery & payment terms.
Issuing purchase order with special conditions of purchase.
Maintain a purchase spreadsheet log for further co-ordination with finance, QC & logistics department to receive the materials in warehouse.
Worked in all major public and private projects in oil & gas refineries which involves procurement of CS/SS & clad plates, pipes, flange/forging & fittings including all materials associated with the static equipment.
Design & Estimation Skills:
To Read, Study & understand Client tender for the allocated project work & list out salient features of the project.
Document reviewing for Floating enquiries to sub-vendor
Designing & Estimation of all static equipment like Tanks, pressure vessels, spheres, Mounded bullets, columns and pipeline system items with package equipment.
Sound Knowledge in Standard codes API, ASME, ASTM, IS, BS…, etc
Knowledge in Tank Design, Vessel & Process Equipments,
Knowledge in Material Specifications & Material Take-off..,
Estimation & Pricing of all static equipment, piping, fittings, package items and E&I.
To prepare technical bid and commercial bid, GCC, SCC, Technical specification & follow ups.
Handling Techno-commercial discussions.
Preparation of bid documents with Technical, commercial terms and conditions.
Releasing job order with budget for the project.
After award of contract, co-ordination with other departments for timely completion of projects.
