Mechanical Inspector on FPSO TIRO SIDO conversion project
as a Ship
for a local owned Tanker company.
Was responsible for five product & chemical tankers.
Work responsibilities include supervising company's staff and shipyard personnel in all
aspects of ship engine repairs and maintenance. The job scope covers engine room
machinery, generators, boilers, refrigeration and all mechanical and electrical systems.
Liaising with the Ship Classification Society, Occupational safety of workmen and
looking after the ‘ISM’ system.
Thorough and specialist knowledge of many main engines operating system include
Sulzer, BMW, MANN engines among others.
At the same time I was involved in building of New Tankers both in Singapore and Japan.
after which I was promoted to Superintendent
Singmarine dockyard, responsible for overseeing the building of
New Vessels (tankers.) This was the time I mastered from foreign going Ship owners where
I applied my seagoing experience to the above projects.
