• Prepare Basic design, FEED and Detailed design of the electrical part of the project.
• Develop overall commissioning guidelines for the program and participate in design reviews to integrate commissioning early in the process.
• Work on Bid packages, generate MR and perform technical Bid Evaluation of MCC, Switchgear, Transformer, Cable, Tray, High Mast and Aviation Obstruction Lighting.
• Testing and Accepting through FAT / Witness testing Major Electrical Equipments.
• Review ITB documents submitted in the proposals stage, issue inquiry requisitions, review vendor offers, prepare equipment, material and man-hour estimates.
• Prepare Material Take-off, Lighting Calculation, Load list, Data Sheet, Conductor sizing.
• Ensure all electrical systems and equipments are safe, reliable and cost-effective.
• Generate and review of SLD’s, Schematics, Layouts, Elevations, Ground grids, Bus duct.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Planners/Schedulers to establish the priority.
• Maintain and Monitor preventive maintenance, schedule overhauls, breakdown and major repair activities to ensure safety and reliability of plant operations.
• Responsible for the generation of IFC Issued for Construction Drawings to be used by the Construction Team in implementing electrical construction works at site.
• Perform Construction Engineering work requiring application of standard construction engineering techniques, procedures, criteria and applicable codes.
• Involve in the day to day field level discipline planning and execution as applicable inside the construction contractor's execution and provided advice on Contractual claims.
• Engineering and design calculation works include earthing, cable and cable ladder sizing, lighting, multi cable transit, LV and MV electrical equipment layout/specifications, power and control layout, motor schematics, interconnection diagram and termination drawings.
• Respond to RFI’s, check BOM, Work orders and perform walk around at site.
• Review and Verify Project-specific construction checklists and commissioning process.
• Ensure all tie-ins within discipline scope required from the company are completed and ready for Hook-up/ installation in accordance with schedule/technical quality.
• Follow up schedule, cost and progress including detection of deviation from the contract.
• Define data collection parameter; obtain information from internal and external sources.
• Schedule and coordinate daily activities with other groups (Operations, HSE, I/E, Project, Sub contractor) to maximize the use of available resources and minimize downtime.
• Provide electrical support to site engineers on technical query' issues and coordinate with client engineers on electrical engineering issues.
• Plan, Prioritize, Execute and Monitor of Projects in an efficient and systematic manner and according to good Engineering practices and company's goals and objectives.
• Estimate Man hours for resource management for detailed engineering phase of the project and plan and identify monitored and controlled activities on critical path.
• Analyze, Design, Testing and, Commissioning of electrical products such as Switchgears, MCC’s, Transformers, Metering equipments, Panels, UPS’s, Relays, VFD’s and Starters.
• Interface with clients to meet their requirements and follow appropriate design philosophies according to Canadian Electric Code, CSA, NEMA and IEC standards.
• Prepare shop drawing required for the construction of oil and gas facilities (SAGD) and work with management to implement effective and productive task procedures.
• Coordinate with projects and planning on project time schedules, establish target completion dates, ensure target dates are achieved.
• Participate in HAZOP meeting with the client and other EPC engineering disciplines.
• Take primary responsibility for management of the Electrical Quality Management Program (QMP) including accurate and timely record keeping.
