Managed & scheduled the operations of a production team to ensure timely manufacturing of cigarettes within the agreed parameters of cost, quality, EH&S and productivity. Improved quality management system QMS to reduce/eliminate market complaints and to ensure product integrity. Executed energy conservation projects under the banner of LEAN manufacturing named as Project 50. Cascaded learnings of Project 50 at second site Akora Khatak Factory complex and reduced electricity consumption of services by 41%. Provided quality Engineering Services for cigarette manufacturing by ensuring smooth day to day operations as well as support technology enhancement in line with manufacturing footprint.
Provided smooth and quality supply of all services (electricity, steam, compressed air, central vacuum services, conditioned air, water and gas) to cigarette factory and ancillary departments, by ensuring comprehensive equipment maintenance and maintaining close liaison with the government authorities and bodies (WAPDA, SNGPL). Planned, arranged, installed and commissioned two new and one cascaded machine as per machinery plan. Arranged for Consultancy Services for Cigarette Factory for major Electrical, Electronic and Air-conditioning projects; evaluated consultant’s reports and estimates. Implemented “Job Contracting Procedure” and “Account Standing Instructions” in the area of work. Ensured un-interrupted supply of quality spares in liaison with maintenance managers and other engineering services to Cigarette Factory, by rigorous implementation of engineering stores Work Instructions. Ensured compliance to all legislative requirements prescribed in the factories, Boilers, Electricity and Explosive Acts. Lead the team in day to day business affairs as well as develop personal capabilities of the team in order to ensure high quality services to manufacturing. Worked as research associate in LUMS (Lahore University of Management Sciences) in collaboration with PTCL (Pakistan Telecommunication Limited) and worked on Research of fiber optic cut out under arabian sea. developed a customized OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) coupled with GSM network and Thuraya satellite.
