Leading the Engineering Department and providing technical support to O&M teams and driving change management and digitalization processes for Marafiq IWPP and other regional ENGIE assets.

At Marafiq IWPP, one of the largest IWPPs in the world, 2, 745 megawatt power and desalination output of 800, 000 cubic meters per day.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Incorporate, drive and lead RCA, critical equipment maintenance and change management strategy, technical audits, standardization according to International standards, Larger Company guidelines, OEM manuals, Industrial good practices and lessons learnt.
Maintenance of PCS7 DCS and Mark VI TCS Loops along with an up to date understanding of the logic driving the same to help I&C troubleshooting as well as help Operations keep a smooth as-per-design operation.
Manage all Site upgrades with respect to I&C and process like commissioning of HSD Centrifugal Cleansing System, Liquid Fuel Recirculation Skids, Gas Heating Skids, upgrade of Gas Turbine Evaporative Coolers etc.
Point of contact with respect to controls for any activity with GE Departments like I&FS, Engineering, Sourcing or other internal or external Customers/Service Providers
Lead RCA for more than ~200 Trips for the Plant, improving commissioning and Post COD Plant Operation by performing reactive & proactive maintenance or advising Operations as appropriate based on them.
Lead for Inventory and Procurement Management with respect to Controls from coding, bid comparisons, justifiable purchases, approvals and utilization.
Lead for all reporting of Projects, Daily/Weekly/Monthly Routines, Facility Improvement Plans or Plant Defect Reports to Internal/External Customers or Higher Management.
Lead the training of I&C team for avoiding vertical & horizontal single points of failure
Lead the implementation of Failure Mode Effect (& Criticality) Analysis for I&C into the Strategy of Inventory Management and Maintenance Planning for Plant Equipment.
Lead the departmental level quality improvement efforts and measures by implementing ISO-9001.
Ensure consistent compliance to MAXIMO (CMMS) for Maintenance Routines by improving the workflow and Report Generation Capabilities of the system to ensure satisfaction of Internal/External Customers.
Lead in issues escalation via PAC Tool
Assist CPM in completing checks and tasks in the Outage Excellence Tool
Assist CPM & Warranty Engineer to resolve GE Warranty Claims via PAC SN Process
Assist in continuous review of ISPs, operational spares & spares required for CI.
Assist in monitoring GE criteria like FFSs and FFHs to ensure timely implementation of applicable Inspections, TILs and Outages
Lead in coordination with Internal GE Departments: I&FS, Engineering, Sourcing/Parts as well as other Vendors and Customer for completion of upgrade and routine Projects
Assist CPM in Inventory Management via the Alpha-ERP Tool
Coordinate the planning & implementation of TILs with respect to tools/spares and unit conditions
Ensure proper reporting for GE Management.
Lead Trip RCAs and Corrective/Preventive actions to improve reliability of the Turbines and keep M&D Center updated.
Manage PAC cases for Gas Turbine issues, consistently driving improvement and resolution.
Manage department wide MAXIMO Compliance by improvement in workflow and consistently driving for improvement of Reporting via MAXIMO taking all concerned into loop.
Coordinate Outage Planning and act as a Point of Contact between all concerned to maximize Outage task achievement.
Coordinate planning and implementation of TILs with focus on TILs effecting reliability.
Manage routine Maintenance Follow up with respect to resources and reporting.
Manage Procurement and Inventory Support to all concerned by consistently driving for definition improvement, enhancing availability of information.
Point of Contact for all Internal and External Customers for all Maintenance related activities
Manage, review and consistently drive for implementation of Facility Improvement Plans, Plant Defect Reports, Warranty Claim Requests and Customer Key Performance Indicators.
Ensure proper reporting for all concerned, GE Management & Internal/External Customers.

Manage IT Inventory ensuring Site needs are met with respect to security, availability and integrity.
Manage Maintenance and Upgrades of Inventory and Network.
