manage the overall installation of MEP works relevant to the appointed contract/areas and measure the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery team ensuring the works are carried out within the relevant cost and QA/QC requirements indicated within the specifications and business guidelines.
- Manage the daily deliverables relevant to the allocated project and make sure that usable Time and Motion (CVA information) is issued to the construction team.
- Ensure that Method Statements, Risk Assessments and DSTI Schedules are issued to the relevant team members for site
- Manage a procurement/long lead item schedule in tandem with your Project Engineers.
Maintain the site delivery requirements in line with the primary programme ensuring that the relevant materials are on site to complete your work areas per the programme requirements.
- Control the dissemination of contractual documents (drawings/contracts/specifications) to the relevant site team members in order to carry out works as per the specifications and contract
- Audit all site requirements and maintain minimum site resource, consumable and tooling requirements. Interface with Sub-Contractors and Vendors to maintain delivery date requirements.
- Maintain Staff & Labour Performance Records and promote efficient and safe working conditions. Make sure that the labour evaluation process is upheld and identify team members that perform well during the relevant delivery cycles. Promote a zero defect policy/LTI/Near Miss within the delivery team and uphold core delivery requirements.
Manage all Engineering requirements per the relevant scope requirements, ensuring that all statutory/consultants/local authorities approvals and guidelines are adhered to and that all procurement/material/material submittals are in line with the overall requirements of the contract and Draughting and Engineering is resourced/managed/
-Ensure that all contract specifications and guidelines are adhered to at all times during the commencement/construction/hand-over periods of the project
-Ensure that material submittals are issued with the relevant consultants requirements and that they are submitted in a format that indicates compliance with specification and country of origin. A register must be put in place and maintained at all times
-Manage a procurement/long lead item schedule in tandem with my line managers indicating delivery dates and the status of the pending material/s deliveries and follow up delivery dates whilst recording any issues which may impact programme deliver.
-Control the dissemination of contractual documents (drawings/contracts/specifications) - usable drawings and information must be issued to the relevant site team members to be able to carry out works per the specifications and contract requirements within the time frame of the programme Changes to the scope of works must be forwarded to the Commercial Team immediatel.
-Manage the Drafting team and make sure that all drawings are checked and signed off prior to issuing to the relevant Consultants - a weekly record of Drafting output
-Value Engineering and Planning must be applied to all facets of the contract
-Ensure that all Design, Engineering and Installation details are checked for compliance, usability, functionality and are in line with the overall design specifications and requirements. Ensure that Testing & Commissioning Requirements, Spares Requirements, Warranty and Defect Liability Periods are recorded and agreed with the relevant suppliers before issuing PR's and releasing LPO
• Evaluating offers in compliance with projects specification and latest local authority requirements and prepare comparative statements.
• Managing, Coordinating & Supervising the Cad Operators in drawing development, (HVAC, plumbing, builder work, co-ordination, standard details…etc).
• Providing engineering inputs and support to the draughtsman in preparing the Shop Drawings and As Built Drawings.
• Determining the design issues and report to the consultant
• Preparing RFI’s and other technical clarification
• Technical support for the construction team
• Coordinate with suppliers to prepare technical material submittals.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to prepare shop drawings & material submittals for fire protection systems.
• Scheduling Material/Drawing submissions and obtaining approvals from relevant authorities
• Reviewing comments from the Consultant on Material Submittals/Shop Drawings and organizing re-submittals as required.
• Determining the labor requirements for the works based on the construction program
• Managing and evaluating Site Engineers, Foremen and supervisory staff.
• Monitoring the work progress against the approved main contractor’s program
• Preparing regular progress reports and submitting to the Project Manager.
• Coordinating with the Consultant & Main Contractor Engineers to obtain approvals.
• Attending meetings with the Client, Consultant, Main Contractor and Authorities
• Coordinating & following up with Engineering Department/Cad Operator in drawing development.
• Providing engineering inputs and support to the draughtsman in preparing the Shop Drawings and As Built Drawings.
• Determining the labor requirements for the works based on the construction program

• Preparing material and equipment delivery schedules
• Experience of Estimation & Tendering of large scale projects
• Design mechanical & electrical interlocking schemes.
• Production of phasing diagrams.
• Providing technical support to the project delivery design team/project construction team.
• Reviewing designs and making recommendations.
• Liaison with internal design team, client and contractors as appropriate.
• Attending technical meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Tender verification and cost estimation.
