* Project: New Doha International Airport.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and controls for identified hazards. Coordinate the implementation of controls from results of hazard analysis, measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system.
• Endeavour to prevent the occurrence of accidents or exposures which could cause harm, or damage, to individuals or the environment and maintain emergency plans in order to minimize such risks and consequent adverse effects.
• Under take the lead role in all accident and near miss investigation, to find out immediate / root cause and to ensure that written report is originated and advice Management to prevent re-occurrence.
• Assess all operational activities and potential changes to identify significant hazards and /or environmental impacts and implement appropriate measures to ensure that exposure to such risks is maintained as low as reasonably practicable.
• Strive to minimize consumption of materials, promote three "R "system (reduce, re-use, recycling) of waste whenever practicable and seek to prevent pollution by reducing emissions, discharge.
• Educate, train and motivate company employees and those working for or on behalf of company to carry out their activities in a responsible manner in accordance with the requirements of the HSE management system and all relevant legislation.
• Assist for planning of external HSE audits and follow up for corrective actions.
• Comprehensive understanding of safety rules & regulations and flair to abreast & adopt the challenging requirement.
• Strive to achieve continual improvement of the HSE management system and related performance.
• Conduct monthly inspection of fire cylinders/ hydrants, first Aid boxes, step ladders electrical cable, lifting equipment, mobile cranes, etc.
• Conduct HSE observation of work area to identify hazard and provide advice about safer, healthier working practice.
• Incorporate essential occupational health, safety and environmental requirement in all purchasing activities.
