Accountable for the operational and financial management of a large account (circa 1 Billion SAR over 5 years and 100 technical delivery personnel).

Successfully managed to close a large 5-year contract with the BAE Systems IM&T function which transforms the previous manpower provisioning type operating model to a service delivery framework delivering IT (infrastructure, network, security, application, and end-user computing) capabilities to a large user base.

Current priorities include the adoption of proactive Conops, improving the structure to exercise better financial / delivery control, and improving velocity while maintaining quality.

· Governance:
Governance model created and approved which details overall internal and external corporate governance structure.

· People:
· Organization structure has been updated to reflect current business model and optimized operating model is being developed to further refine the organization.
· Launched multiple employee retention initiatives which are supporting short term and long term retention improvements.
· Employee strategy awareness and morale improvements are underway through better communications.
· Capability development through technical and soft skills training for over 40% of the organization is contributing to the development of a high-performance culture based on better skill sets.
· Business data accuracy has improved significantly for people and organization data.

· Process:
· Overall full Business Management System refresh is underway to update aged business process, policies and procedures.
· Through business process optimization and key performance indicator (KPI) development for backend functions (including Commercial/procurement, HR, finance) significant business optimizations are being delivered.
· Projects to improve service delivery and commercial improvements as joint activities with premier customer are ongoing.
· Business planning has been improved with significant funding approved for organizational system improvements in line with industry benchmarks.

· Technology:
· Business cases for development of technology strategy/ERP assessment and SharePoint have been developed and approved.
· Business system updates for centralizing invoicing process have started delivering significant business benefits.
· Development underway for bid system to measure KPIs.

PROGRAM/PORTFOLIO MANAGER في BAE SYSTEMS (INTERNATIONAL SYSTEMS ENG)

· Managed a portfolio comprising of projects for BAE Systems Integrated Management and Technology (IM&T) as well as Change & Enablement (C&E) IT Transformation Program for BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.
· Portfolio has 20+ active projects/proposals with revenue of $2.5 million in 2017 and projected revenue of $5 million in 2018.
· Programs/projects include Private Cloud Program, Desktop Application Rationalization, 2 Factor Authentication, Network Change Program, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Windows 7 to 10 migration.
· Achieved 3x growth in portfolio size from 2016 to 2017, 2x growth is expected in 2018.
· Lead the Internal Business Planning for operation’s department for Phase 2 plan for 2018 for International Systems Engineering (ISE - BAE Systems Saudi Arabia’s IT subsidiary).
· Aligned and tailored the governance processes for projects in the portfolio with Lifecycle Management (LCM) methodology for BAE Systems and ISE.
· Received multiple accolades for successfully managing and closing projects worth over US$1.5 Million (2016) & US$2.3 Million (2017) and completing/leading proposals for projects worth around US$4 Million (each in 2016/2017)
· Instigated the development and implementation of multiple technical solutions for long-standing IT problems (Business Workflow solution through Sharepoint/Nintex).
· Managed full IT relocation for BAE Systems SDT (120 employees) in 3 months’ period with provision of new WAN, network design, server/end user devices relocation. Later, managed a full refresh of the building infrastructure to provide new Cisco core/distribution/access switches, call manager, Aruba WiFi, networking and video conference solution.
· Relocated server/end user devices/IT assets for a BAE Systems site (30 employees) in the Eastern region to another location, successfully completing planning and then executing the project in a brief period of 3 week only.

· Created Service Enhancement process to improve service delivery team’s ability to execute improvement projects.
· Mapped as-is process for time and attendance across BAE Systems Saudi Arabia.

· Achieved great success (from time/cost/quality/business impact perspective) in the program for setup of WaferCatalyst a Multi-Project Wafer manufacturing consolidation service in Saudi Arabia, first in the developing world (, less than 7 such services existed at the time).
· Partnered with leading wafer fabrication facilities from Europe and Asia. After the setup, I served as the founding Technical and Operational Director for this organization for 3 years.
· Signed partnership agreements with 15 organizations in 5 countries to use WaferCatalyst services for cost-effective integrated circuits (IC) manufacturing as well as to collaborate through exchange of resources & expertise for consultancy, training and design of ICs.
· Fully managed operations resulting in the completion of 7 tape-outs (from April 2013-November 2015) for internal and external clients using complex legal, logistic and vendor management framework to achieve timely, cost effective manufacturing. Before WaferCatalyst only a single tape-out had been recorded in Saudi Arabia in the last 2 decades.
· Lead the team that completed 2 different products for high speed and low power Low Voltage Differential Signaling (LVDS) Intellectual Property (IP) (in 0.15um and 0.11um technologies) for LFoundry, a Germany/Italy based Wafer Manufacturing Company.

· Lead a team of 15-20 engineers and 3 Project Manager in MSD Department to oversee the initiation, planning, execution, management & control and closure of a large number of advanced technology transfer projects.
· Lead team of 15 engineers for developing a System on Chip in collaboration with Soft Machines Inc (acquired by Intel) using 28nm TSMC process (budget was in tens of millions of $).
· Developed and managed team of 11 from KACST, Synopsys and Waseila for developing Low power Zigbee O-QPSK modulator and demodulator.
· Managed a team of 6 from KACST and Si-Ware for successfully developing high performance Microelectromechanical (MEMS) motion sensors.
· Managed a team of 17 engineers from KACST and Smartron to develop the first tablet designed in Saudi Arabia.
· Managed multiple partnerships/relationships with vendors, manufacturers, software providers and research & development organizations.

· Lead the company’s worldwide marketing operations (while reporting directly to the CEO) of the leading IC design company in Malaysia.
· My main role was to work with and to grow the company’s distribution channels, establishing links with OEMs and system design companies. The company had distributors in various countries including USA, Europe, Brazil, India and China, including Avnet.
· Responsible for managing all distributor interaction/support; customer support as well as the brand marketing for ICmic products (including Digital to Analog Converters, Telephone ICs, Serial EEPROMs and RFIC products).
· Played a key role in the post-acquisition operational handling of a Serial EEPROM product line acquired from Intersil Corp., a NASDAQ-100 index company. I managed all customer, distributor, product fabrication, packaging, pricing and sale planning for the product line. Was instrumental in handling all issues like inventory verification and ensured very high customer retention rate due to seamless transition.
· Lead the company’s global operations, marketing, sales, installations and management of Silvaco EDA, TCAD tools (for which the company was the sole distributor for Malaysia, Pakistan and Middle East). Was personally involved in sales activities and their delivery/trainings which accounted for revenue of nearly 1 Million Malaysian Ringgit per year.
· Was instrumental in establishing a subsidiary of the company in Santa Clara, California (USA) (called ICmic Corp.) to handle the US sales and operations. Spent more than 5 months to smoothen the operations of the subsidiary till permanent staff was hired.
· Responsible for organizing a large number of exhibitions, workshops and product launches (e.g. Shenzhen & Shanghai (2004, China), Penang & Melaka (2006, Malaysia), Rawalpindi (2007, Pakistan), Riyadh & Makkah (2009/10, Saudi Arabia)).
