Role:
• Liaising with stakeholders while keeping them informed of progress and issues in order to manage expectations on all project requirements and deliverables
• Monitoring two major migration to bring systems up to date including Windows Servers, Routers, Switches and PABX
• Liaising and negotiating with vendors and company personnel in order to facilitate IT purchases and services
• Ensuring effective implementation of up-gradation and migration of servers from Windows 2003 to Windows 2012 R2
• Program routers, switches and other network hardware
• Managing design and deployment of LANs, WANs and wireless networks
• Contributing towards maintenance and management of Windows Servers (2012 R2, 2008, 2003), SQL Server (SQL 2010), and Backup server
• Maintaining:
o Virtualization software - Hyper V, VM Ware
o Up to date End Point Security on all machines Company wide
• Installing ERP software (SYROS and Visual), Microsoft Office, Office 365, GoogleApps
• Configuring and managing emails of users in outlook (POP3, IMAP) and in Google apps
• Working on:
o Installing and troubleshooting of Typist’s and PRO’s computers according to UAE Immigration needs
o Configuring, Managing and troubleshooting of Biometric attendance machine, Wi-Fi Controller system, NBX Switch and IP telephones
o Configuring VPN connection to remote users for ERP software access and for telephone access
o Configuring and troubleshooting of network printers, scanners and photocopy machine
o Regular Backup of server to External tape drive with Symantec Backup Exec 12 and Windows Server Back up
o Configuring and managing different types of RAID’s
• Maintaining and troubleshooting Citrix Server
• Regulating Branch Offices’ which are under company (Schools, Hospital) & Site Offices’ Desktops & Laptops (Windows & Mac)
• Imparting training to staffs, configuring and managing smart phones for emails (IOS, Android, and Blackberry)
• Collaborating and negotiating with vendors and company personnel in order to facilitate IT purchases and services
Highlights:
• Adjudged for being promoted as ‘team leader’ to migrate entire IT system including Servers, Switches and PABX to the new office located at Marina Square, Al-Reem Island - Abu Dhabi
• Successfully engineered VPN connection for site to site telephone calls
Managing/implementation of the Network infrastructure for 24 *7 operations.
Updating and handling of the tickets/dockets raised by the client on Remedy.
Active co-ordination with Service Providers to fix any outages.
Testing and implementing new configuration changes.
Address and correct all network events/issues/tickets referred to the group in an effective and timely manner by utilizing the appropriate internal and external resources.
Effectively handover shift status information to the next shift assuming responsibility.
Router IOS upgrade as part of project.
Hands on experience on Cisco Routers - Cisco 2800 series, Cisco 2600 series and Cisco Catalyst Switches - 3550 series and 3560 series.
Trouble shoots and resolved desktop support issues.
Maintain the up to date operating procedures inside the IT department.
Handling all troubles Hardware related calls.
Assemble the PC & install the OS & applications as per the customer requirement.
Installing, Configuring Windows OS & Linux.
Hardware & Network implementation and troubleshooting.
Training and Development Activities for new joiners.
