- To manage the equipment division (operations and maintenance department) to optimize the resource utilization (equipments and manpower) and implement necessary procedures
- To develop strategies for achieving the dept. targets and maintain for continuous growth.
- Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for equipment division.
- Develop the equipment purchase plan and manpower plan to attain the business targets based on available projects and propose to management on purchase / lease option.
- Directs insurance coverage and accident damage claims.
- To develop and recommend equipment rental rate for the company assets based on nature and duration of requirement.
- Review the division monthly revenue and cost reports, explains or justifies monthly variances to management
- Maintaining an active inventory of company owned equipments and vehicles
- Conduct site surveys and prepare detailed rigging study for heavy lift crane operations
- Assess return of investments of existing equipments and recommend for replacement / write-off and lease or purchase options
- Develop and suggest the required resources to the management for continuous growth for forthcoming projects.
- In coordination with the dept. supervisors / foreman to set the work priorities and plan the weekly work schedule to optimize the utilization of resources and to set new performance and productivity standards
- Reporting weekly and monthly division reports to the management.

- Monitor day-to-day status / developments of ongoing projects and functional activities to ensure the maintenance and equipment operation schedules are met.
- Develop workable plans to control the department costs to achieve the financial targets.
- Develop and monitor the preventive maintenance program for equipments like Cranes, Earth Moving Equipments, Trucks, Passenger Vehicles, Plant and Machinery (Compressors, Generators & Welding Machines) and ensure that necessary spare parts are available to carry out the service
- In coordination with the workshop supervisors, monitor the maintenance department activities to reduce the equipment down time and repair progress.
- Review and approve material purchase requests, purchase orders, service orders and do necessary analysis on price of purchased items
- Conduct frequent customer satisfaction surveys for internal and external customers
- To ensure all the departmental activities are carried out as per Company QHSE and IMS standards
Having good knowledge and control of fleet in Garage
- Can be able to manage skilled and un skilled manpower and strive to reduce the breakdown time of the equipment
- Have good knowledge in trouble shooting and maintenance of the Trucks like Mercedes, Nissan, Volvo, PPM Reach Stacker, & Forklifts like TCM, Toyota and Mobile Cranes like Samsung, Tadano, Kato, Krupp, Grove and TEREX DEMAG.
- Understand the problem and make work order accordingly & allocate fleet to the mechanics
- Responsible for the preventive maintenance of the vehicles by creating a Preventive Maintenance Schedule Plan for the vehicles and inform them of the next schedule
- Inform the Concerned of the PMS of their equipment and liaise with him for the schedule
- Regular follow-up for reducing the breakdown time & order spare parts required for the repairs
- To deal with the part supplier and negotiate for the spare parts in the process of procurement of the parts and to reduce the lead time of the non-available parts and regular follow up of the Purchase orders
- To create an accident report and estimate for the damaged vehicles & maintain a summary
- Prepare vehicles for inspection and registration renewal
- Liaise with the companies representative for registration renewal and follow up for the forth coming months
- Inform the admin department for the loss of Registration plates / books & request for duplicate
- Taking initiatives for improvements in processes for quality of repairs & cost benefits of the company
- Planning day-to-day activities, production schedules to attain ZERO breakdown condition
- Planning & Implementation of Special Purpose Machines (SPM)
