Other Duties as Network Engineer
1. To deal with Computer hardware troubleshooting.
2. Setting up LAN (Local Area Network) using network switches.
3. Setting up WLAN (Wireless LAN).
4. Setting up Video Conferencing using ISDN Lines.
5. Setting up Printers on Local systems as well as on network.
6. Taking Data Backups of all the soft wares.
7. Managing Antivirus Soft wares for servers and client computers.
8. Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and correct malfunctions and other operational difficulties.
9. Managing security, file permissions, backup and disaster recovery plans, file system integrity, and adding and deleting users.
10. Providing technical and resolution support to the end user.
11. Implementing the network security policies for user’s Internet access
12. Monitoring and Auditing.
Cisco Experience
• Having Work Experience on Cisco 2900, 4500, and 3750 Catalyst Series Switches.
• Having Work Experience on HSRP (Hot standby Routing Protocol) Experience.
• Having Work Experience on VLANs and inter VLAN Communication to reduce Broadcast Traffic.
• Worked on Ether channel using LACP (Link Aggregation Control Protocol).
• Worked on Cisco 2600, 2900, 3700 Series Routers.
• Having Work Experience on Routing protocols like RIP V2, EIGRP, OSPF.
1. Experience to work on
server 2000, 2003 and 2008.
2. Capable to work on ISA (Internet Security and Accelerator Server) 2000 and 2006.
3. Have an experience to work on Digital Telephone Exchanges like Syscom and Panasonic.
4. Having a strong Experience to configure DHCP (Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol).
5. Having a strong Experience on IP to MAC binding for applying security.
6. Hands on knowledge of the procedures used in the installation, modification maintenance and repair of IT hardware and software.
7. Hands on Network Security System.
8. Hands on Domain Name system and additional domain controller.
9. Installation and setting up Lotus notes 8.5 on client end.
10. Expert in Microsoft Outlook 2003 and 2007.
11. Have an experience on Cisco manageable switches.
12. Setting up VLANs using Cisco switches.
13. Having Experience on Cisco Routers configuration and Troubleshooting.
14. Having Experience on Routing Protocols like rip v2, EIGRP, OSPF( Single Area)
15. Supported, monitored, tested, and resolved network hardware and configuration problems pertained to LAN and WAN infra-structure
