• Supervising the production processes, systems at the vendors end and providing suggestions for improving process efficiency.

• Co-Ordinating of actions for Line rejection & GR rejection for Supplier part quality issues

• Ensuring all processes at vendors end is executed as per agreed norms.

• Imparting training to suppliers on various tools of Quality during supplier visits

• Part of Vendor assessment team for assessing new suppliers.

• Conducting DOL (Direct on line) activities for supplier parts.

• Ensuring closure of CVL’s & field issues reported on supplier parts in target time.

• Ensuring compilation of reports on monthly basis from suppliers for warranty, LFT & ZDA projects.

• Ensuring compliance to requirements (reports & documentation) of TS audit, PDCA, MIS reports required by management.

• Responsible for reviewing & implementing PFMEA, CP, PFD and establishing inspection standards for new development at supplier end.

• Periodic Process / System audits of the vendors

• Identify the scope of improvement in terms of cost & quality related to components

• Responsible for cost saving activity at supplier site through VAVE

• Conducting Product & Process Audit at casting & machining Supplier End.
• Actively participating in deciding on Machining process, fixtures, cutting tools & Gauges required for the components under development/production at supplier end as well as for in-house machine shop.

• Verifying APQP documents, timing charts for developing new components.
• Carrying Production Trial Run for PPAP batch & completing the documentation.
• Ensuring 100% PIST (Percentage Inspection points Satisfying Tolerance) and PIPC (Percent Indices Process Capable).

• Conducting MSA & SPC studies at supplier end as well as at in-house facility.

• Effectively coordinating with CFT teams to develop the right part at the right time.
• Making SOP, Process sheets, Control plan & PFMEA for component under development.
• Monitor production builds. This involves working closely with Production foreman/Supervisors, Scheduling, and Quality.

• Suggesting process improvements, cell layout modifications, improvements in inprocess material handling so as to ensure smooth working of the production process.

• Verifying root cause analysis & corrective actions submitted by supplier’s for the defects observed at field, testing, assembly & receipt stages.

• Provide required support for ISO 9001. Work closely with ISO coordinating team and production employees to ensure compliance to ISO 9001 standards.
• Ensure Implementation of Kohler Engines Auto Policy and Standard Operating Procedures at Suppliers end.

• Provide technical support and monitor critical processes in the department.

• Process planning for existing components as well as components under development.

• Deciding on Machining process, fixtures, cutting tools & Gauges required for the components in production /development.

• Getting tooling proposals from machine tool builders & cutting tool manufacturers.

• Negotiate and finalized tooling proposals for productionised as well as components under development this included arranging procurement & coordinating in the tool trial outs.

• Preparing APQP documents, timing charts for developing new components.

• Making process sheets, Control plan & PFMEA for component under development.

• Casting & Machining sub-supplier Process Auditing for quality & process improvements.

• Estimating & calculating machining time for new components/ part.

• Conducting & monitoring ISO related activities.
