Technician (Construction and Maintenance Contracts) at Qatar Petroleum

Projects Handled:
1) Construction of Emergency loading areas comprised of constructing Fuel loading gantries, Underground holding tanks and associated piping works, Concrete sleepers for supporting fuel pipes and infrastructure developments works including Asphalt and interlock block pavements, Traffic signs and installation of guard rails

2) Construction of working platforms inside refinery comprised Concrete foundations and erection of working platforms and protection works.

3) Construction of Large concrete pavements used as facility for Refinery Equipment hydro- jetting comprised of preparation of sub-grade, sub-base and concrete pavements

4) Construction of Asphalt approach road inside refinery comprised of sub-grade preparation and stabilization works using boulders and compaction, underground utility pipes setting out and laying, sub-base laying and compaction and Asphalt laying.

5) Construction of Security guard house and associated Fencing works

6) Construction of Vehicle Over head barriers inside Refinery.

7) Major Road crossing Culvert Extension works comprised of complete construction of concrete bases, walls and slabs, stone pitching works.
8) Major Turnaround Refinery shutdown works in 2009 and 2013 comprised of complete rehabilitation/ reconstruction of refinery equipment supports pump foundations and associated epoxy grouting and concrete protection works.
Job Responsibilities :

 Monitoring all ongoing construction & maintenance works done by Contractors and ensure the implementation of QA/QC and safety at work site.

 Performing inspections as per Civil checking schedule for all plant facilities, concrete structures, steel structures, buildings and support facilities, pipeline foundations so as to determine the present condition of the structure and the extent of deterioration

 Execute the works based on work orders received from various departments, coordinating with concerned departments for the issuance of work permits, execution of site works and resolving technical issues.

 Prepare weekly reports on site works activities and detailed monthly reports on findings as per Civil checking schedule.

 Prepare cost estimates & actual cost for the works executed by Civil Contractor

 Ensure all records; files and database are updated with all inspection work sheets, findings and status of repair.
 Prepared tender documents for Civil Maintenance Contracts in co-ordination with Senior Engineer and Contracts department.
 Supervise and manage the civil contractor team for Refinery shutdown works
