Project - Waterproofing of an old house of 800 SF. Waterproofing was done by removing the existing mud tiles from the terrace and replacing it with a layer of Dr. Fixit URP and a layer of Geotextile on top of it and 5mm thick concrete screed on top. This was an economical method and was completed within 6days. Estimation of materials required was done by me and a total of 9 people (3 mason, 2 helpers, 4 laborers) were working under me for the duration of this project.
Worked as an intern to gain practical and professional experience in a prestigious and well known company ‘Land Trades Builders & Developers’ for their ‘Solitaire’ project in Mangalore Karnataka India. It is an ultra luxury apartment of 32 floors, with 5 floors for parking and a club house. Here I was asked to oversee the finishing work of the building. During this time painting, cleaning, wall textures, gypsum board installations, Solar panel installations, Landscape work, Hvac installations were going on in the site. I have done some estimation work in the site office, I calculated the number of tiles required for the given areas, number of blocks required for wall and many basic things like that. I was transformed from a student to a professional during my internship.
I Designed two Residential buildings. One modern house of 3000+ square feet with underground parking, and a smaller cramped house within 2000 square feet. Both buildings are done with reference to climatology and wind direction.
Worked as an intern to gain practical knowledge in Namko Ocean view - 22 floors commercial building. I learned how to deal with labors in a site, to analyze engineering drawings, floor plans and designs. Overseeing building work and conducting concrete tests like Slump test, compression test, split tensile test. Post tensioning was done at the site.
