Duties & Responsibilities:
• Manage the Microbiology Laboratory, Dubai.
• Plan, organize and control the day to day operations of the Laboratory to meet
Customer and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Achieve the financial targets (Revenue, profit and NWC)
• Enhance the test capabilities and skills of Laboratory staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Over all in-charge of the Microbiology Laboratory section as Assistant Manager
• Plans, organizes, controls and improves the day to day operations of the Laboratory to meet
Customer and ISO 17025 requirements.
• Identifies the right Sources for the Supply of Laboratory Materials / Chemicals and monitoring
the Supplier's performance.
• Responsible for all day to day activities, including Customer contacts, quotation, proposal
review and relevant business related activities.
• Responsible for Staff recruitment, staff training and HR related issues
• Responsible to monitor the performance of Laboratory Staff and improve accordingly
• Authorized to review the Customer quiries, provide the proposal in line with the price
schedule and decide the appropriate discount (if required) .
• Authorized to sign the proposals, test reports and invoices to customers
Authorized to prepare and issue the Quality System Procedures and issue the other Quality
System documents such as Work Instructions and Formats
• Authorized to plan internal audit.
• Authorized to conduct the proficiency testing
• Responsible to maintain all QMS related documents - up-dating the current version to all
users, remove the obsolete documents and keep separately and manages the amendment
changes
• Ensures that the Laboratory is in compliance with ISO 17025:2005 requirements and
applicable Health and Safety requirements.
• Ensure that Customer complaints are handled effectively; Customer Satisfaction/feed-back
is done and analyzed as planned.
• Maintains the required and appropriate reference and working Standards.
• Plans and Conducts internal audits and organizes the Management review meetings.
• Identifies the occurrence of departures from the Laboratory Quality Management system or
from the procedures for performing tests and to initiate actions to prevent or minimize such
departures.
• Receives and investigates the customer complaints, responsible for root cause analysis and
implements appropriate corrective actions in association with the LM
• Implements the Laboratory Quality Management System in work place and ensures that the
Laboratory staff understands the Quality Policy.
• Review the external calibration certificate.
Microbiological testing of Finished Products, in process and raw materials, water and
cosmetics.
• Performing swab tests in personal, machine, equipment and other contact surfaces.
Monitoring indoor Air quality by using passive and active sampling methods.
• Legionella monitoring and identifying from different water sources
• Quantitative suspension test for the evaluation of bactericidal activity of chemical
disinfectants and antiseptics in food industries, domestic and institutional areas (Rideal-
Walker coefficient of disinfectant)
• Shelf Life study and analysis of various food products.
• Preparing reports and presenting results. Responsible for investigating the unusual /
unacceptable results
• Collation and analysis of results highlighting any areas of non-compliance with product
specifications.
• Providing guidance for training and development of subordinate staff and assess their
progress.
• Maintaining good laboratory practices, Lab equipment performance and calibration.
Participating proficiency and other Inter Laboratory tests.
• Aseptic sample collection from Hotels, Swimming pool, safety shower, cooling tower and
other water outlets.
