• As Client Engineer, heading the site execution Works, reporting to Project Manager.
• Review Tenders from nominated contractors and evaluating with the Contract BOQ drawings and Specification.
• Review and approval of the value engineering comments by the contractors.
• Review and approving the contractor’s and subcontractor’s prequalification.
• Ensure all material submittals are as per client requirements and as per project specification.
• Ensure contractor’s work are on the level of client satisfaction and requirements and as per contract agreements.
• Attending Site Weekly progress meeting and technical meeting as Client Representative.
1. Review MEP Construction Drawings and Develop Shop Drawings as per Standards.
2.Quantity Surveying of the Materials Involved in the Projects.
3.Negotiation with the Material Suppliers and Material Finalization as per Specifications Provided by the Consultants.
4.Preparation of Material Submission for Consultants and Responsible for Materials Approved by the Consultant.
5.Coordination with the Vendors for Purchasing of the Materials.
6.Ensure all Mechanical Installations as per the Approved Drawings and Specification.
7.Responsible for Raising Work Inspection Request, carrying out the Inspection of the Completed works and Getting Them Approved by the Consultant.
8.Assist the Project Manager in keeping Progression up-to-date and advice on the Monthly Progress of the Project.
9.Attending Progress Meetings and Co-ordination with Sub Contractors, Consultants and Clients.
10.Conduct Final Testing & Commissioning of the Mechanical Installations and follow up the Snag List to Complete the Handing Over of the Project.
11.Cost control Related to Material and Labour as per the Allowed Budget.
12.Responsible for Preparing Variations to the Contract and Getting them, Approved by the Quantity Surveyor.
• Heading Mechanical works for the project.
• Evaluated MEP systems, components, and its applications involved in the project based on Tender Drawings and project specifications.
• Reporting to the Construction Manager.
• Taking approval for all materials and shop drawings from Consultants/Clients according to the specification.
• Involved in every aspect of the project, leading a team in the execution of the project.
• Ordering of materials as per site requirement, taking care of long lead items in coordination with Purchase Department.
• Planning of all MEP works in coordination with Mechanical & Civil works. Allocating the
Manpower and resources required for the timely completion of the works.
• Supervision and Execution of MEP works in accordance with Project Specifications.
• Coordination with suppliers and subcontractors for their works.
• Organizing and leading inspections by Consultant.
• Solving problems and when necessary, working with Subcontractors to complete required tasks by making quick decisions and taking responsibility for decisions.
• Ensuring the smooth flow of the activities by preparing the material submittal & procurement schedules.
• Project management by preparing CVI, official letters and progress payments.
• Delay analysis and cost impact assessments.
• Attending meeting with Clients, Consultants and Suppliers etc.
• Coordinate in project site concerned engineers & project managers in terms of Technical matters about the requirements and other details.
• Make some recommendations & value engineering for cost saving purposes.
• Finalization of supplier for any MEP materials or equipment as per the contract documents and subject to the approval of Employer/Engineer
• In charge of the execution of all the MEP site activities.
• Study the scope of work of the project, specifications & tender construction drawings
• Dealing with Consultant/Client to obtain material submittal approval.
• Perusal of Submittals prepared by the Supplier and forwards it to Consultant for approval.
• Coordinate with concerned Engineers & Site Managers in terms of technical matters about the requirements and other details.
• To raise technical queries where information conflict exists or is missing, and act on responses.
• Advise the commercial team of any technical or engineering changes that could warrant a variation or change.
• To eliminate waste in all forms including labour, materials, plant and staff, especially targeting the prevention of rework and to get it ‘right first time’.
• Allocating the resources and manpower required for the timely completion of the works.
• Responsible for timely completion of MEP activities, Proper coordination with Consultant and Civil team
