Key Projects: Construction of Asia Largest Residential and Commercial Estate Bahria Town Karachi, It is a privately-owned gated neighborhood under- construction in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan by the Bahria Town Group. The total cost of the project is a $10 billion.

The project was constructed by different internationals and multinationals Companies such as, Paragon Construction Company, China Railway Construction Corporation Ltd, Izhar Constructions, etc. and consists of Residential and Commercial Area, Ware house/Shops area, Golf Course, New Office Block, Grand Jamia Mosque which will be the world’s third largest, and the country’s largest cricket stadium designed by GMW Architects, and Saudi German Hospital Group is constructing a hospital on a 12 acre site for a cost of $300 million. On several occasions, site personnel dealt with such events as monsoon rains which turned the city streets into canals, massive rioting, terrorist attacks, religious protests, and city-wide labor strikes, all of which shut businesses and transportation down. Despite having limited access to the local markets and a fraction of the labor force present on the jobsite during these turbulent events, BTK continued moving forward utilizing all available resources. As a result, there was never a shut-down period at any time throughout the duration of construction.

The Bahria Town will be constructed on the current 44, 000 Acres of Land, just off the super highway. The project has been divided into several phases.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Provide HSE improvements on site.
-Conduct HSE Tool box talks, provide training to the workers.
- Site inspection on daily basis.
- Ensure that operations employees, contractors and site visitors receive HSE Inductions for theatre operations.
- Review and analyze accidents and near miss incidents and making corrective action recommendations;
-Assist in developing and implementing field location emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.
- Supervise on site doctors and medical emergency response preparation and implementation;
- Development, provide training and implements programs such as LOTO, Fall Protection, Electrical Safety, Hazardous Material Safety, Fire Safety, Assembling and Dismantling Scaffolding, PPE, Excavation Safety, Confined Space, etc.
- Environmental monitoring during construction period.
- Conducted site inspections for environmental and safety compliance.
- Assist with management of hazardous waste program.
- Assisted with the development and implementation of the environment, safety and health programs.
- Weekly and Monthly reporting to Project Safety Manager.
