• The Financial Assets fund focuses on companies that provide financial services like brokerage, mortgage, banks, leasing companies and asset management companies in MENA, and South Asia. The other funds that I am actively involved in include a buyout fund, two Pre-IPO and Private Equity funds.
• Created a strong deal pipeline for the fund raising efforts and added an even stronger deal pipeline given the changes in economic environment.
• Made distributions in 13 of last 17 years from exits.
• Key functions include: o Sourcing and analyzing Private Equity Transactions as well as Listed (QIPs and convertible structures) transactions o Pursuing potential deals by meeting the founders / management o Evaluating business plans / annual reports / founders / management teams o Negotiating valuation & legal terms with the management, Innovative Deal Structuring o Preparation of term sheet o Evaluate detailed Investment Note and discuss with other members of Investment Committee o Monitoring the investments / value addition / providing assistance to management in appointing senior management and setting up compensation, corporate governance and audit committees.
