- In charge of the register, handles cash & credit card transactions and balancing the register at the end of the shift.
- Take customer's orders and serve food & beverages accordingly. Additional duties may include escorting guests to tables, serving customers seated at counters, setting up and clearing tables.
-Keeps the kitchen supplied with clean dishes, pots, pans and utensils. Making sure to keep the kitchen clean during a shift, takes out trash, cleans floors, etc.
- Responsible for opening and closing the restaurant, purchase food and beverage inventory, open the register, track inventory, train and manage new staff, and finally work with suppliers.
- Keeps records of financial transactions
- Calculate employee wages and prepare checks for payment of wages.
- Prepare withholding, Social Security, and other tax reports.
- Monitor office supply levels and reorder as necessary.
- Pay supplier invoices in a timely manner
- Ensure that receivables are collected promptly
- Record cash receipts and make bank deposits
- Conduct a monthly reconciliation of every bank account
- Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy
- Maintain the petty cash fund
- Provide information to the external accountant who creates the company’s financial statements
