Promoting leadership and workforce awareness of ethical and compliant risk management practices through policies and procedures.
•Providing technical expertise and consultation to departments on their risk management activities.
•Plan, implement and also coordinate program to reduce or eliminate occupational injuries, illnesses, deaths, and also financial losses
•Developing accident-prevention as well as loss-control systems programs for incorporation into operational policies of organization.
•Identify best practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce work process risks, raise safety awareness, and improve safe work practices
•Coordinate and participate in identifying and evaluating HSE hazards/Risks and recommend measures to reduce them.
•Ensure a safe work environment is provided to minimize the risks of injuries and accidents.
•Coordinate employee safety programs to determine their adequacy including review of short and long term strategic safety planning and development.
•Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance, and mentoring to employees on safety initiatives and necessary changes
•Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks;
•Brief and instruct sub-contractors on the safety and health procedures and instructions that they and their employees are required to comply with.
•Communicating appropriate HSE related information on an accurate and timely basis to the work force.
•Provide ongoing leadership, coaching, and key point tipping service to all Major Project personnel in safety and loss control techniques, while being visible, approachable and available to all levels, with the objective of improving our efficiency and minimizing our losses.
•Provide Health, Safety and Environmental advice and portrait the skills, management interface skills and the integration of HSE Management system to implement it and to manage it in their individual departments.
•Participate in regular HSE meetings with the Departmental heads, Contractors and related interested parties with the view to discussing HSE concerns and actions common to all.
•Advise site management through on the following:
Attainable means to improve working conditions, existing work methods and practices.
Ways to prevent fires, injury, damaged to property, equipment and facilities.
Contractual concerns affecting safety, health and welfare of employees.
Provision and use of special protective clothing and equipment for specific tasks.
•Investigate industrial accidents, near-miss incidents, and occupational injuries to determine causes, install preventive measures, and manage return-to-work activities.
•Perform safety audits and inspect facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure safety regulation compliance
•Inspect and evaluate all equipment, practices and procedures in accordance with safety legislation and government regulations
•Promptly addressing safety concerns and issues brought to my attention by employees
•Identify plus appraise conditions which could produce accidents & financial losses evaluates potential extent of injuries resulting from accidents.
•Assuring that injuries/illnesses are treated promptly and management being notified immediately;
•Work within company policy as outlined in the Company’s Employee Handbook and in compliment with the Company’s Human Resources Policy Manual, Company’s Safety Manual and OSHA Safety rules.
•Set up emergency plans and educate all employees how to handle such situations
•Increase health and safety awareness across all levels and departments of the organization.
