Um Alhoul Free Zone
Client: Qatar Free Zone Authority & Manateq
Um Alhoul Free Zone is one of the Free Zones planned for the development in Qatar with a total area of approximately 29km2. The Free Zones each have a unique purpose and together target complementary market sectors.
Through the development of these zones, the State of Qatar will create additional land for industrial development and encourage the creation of new industries in line with Qatar’s National Vision to diversify the economy.
Project Duties
Egis Scope of Works consists of Infrastructure Detailed Design and Construction Supervision for Um Alhoul Free Zone Project. The Infrastructure Design works consists of Roads, StormWater, Treated Sewerage Effluent, Potable Water, Fire Water, Foul Sewer, Landscape and Irrigation, Electrical Power Supply and Telecommunication systems.
My responsibilities are managing all the listed Infrastructure Design works through Detailed Design, Tender Documentation and Construction Documentation. My Responsibilities include the following,
• Reviewing all Infrastructure Design Works prior to issuing to stakeholders to ensure accurate information is being submitted,
• Managing and liaising with all relevant Stakeholders to obtain Stakeholder approvals for the Infrastructure Design Works,
• Conducting and leading regular weekly progress meetings with the Client,
• Preparing Scope of Works for the tender documentation and managing the tender process with Egis Design Team,
• Managing various sub-consultants progress of works and payments,
• Managing and controlling design variations and claims,
• Managing the design close out and preparing the design handover to the client,
• Managing the Design Team to deliver project within budget and schedule,
• Providing technical assistance to the Construction Supervision Team by responding to Request for Information (RFIs) raised by the appointed Contractors.
• Active communication and collaboration with all Project Department Heads

Lusail Stadium
Client: HBK Contracting/China Railway Construction
The iconic stadium will host the opening and closing games of the FIFA World cup 2022 tournament. The stadium will provide a long lasting legacy, preserving Lusail as a major sporting venue.
Package 20A - Major Roads in West of West Bay
Client: MOTC (Ministry of Transport and Communications)
A concept design has been proposed to overhaul the current existing road network within the West Bay area and propose a new one-way system to decongest the area.
Doha Metro - Gold Line
Client: Qatar Rail
Doha Metro is an integral part of the Qatar Rail Development Program (QRDP). It consists of 4 lines and will cover the Greater Doha area providing connections to town centers and vital commercial and residential areas throughout the city.
Doha Expressway - P16, P18, P19 and P20
Client: Ashghal
Upgrade of approximately 150km of existing single carriageway of roads to a dual carriageway consisting of 4 running lanes and a hard shoulder on either side of the central median. Road is split into 4 sections where all are located in rural settings.
Al Rayyan Road
Client: Ashghal
Design of a 4 lane road on each direction consisting of 13 junctions and a total length of 16km within an urban setting. The design co-ordinates the cityscape of pedestrians, vehicles, bicycles and mass transport friendly transit.

Project Duties
Lusail Stadium
Responsible for the preliminary and detailed design for hydraulic analysis for storm water, foul sewer and TSE networks within Lusail Stadium and the precinct area. I am also responsible for the co-ordination works for all wet and dry utilities and stakeholder liaison.
Package 20A - Major Roads in West of West Bay
Responsible for the concept design of all wet utilities within the West Bay area. Hydraulic modelling software StormCAD, WaterCAD, Windes and InfoWorks was used for the design of the pipe networks and attenuation tanks.
Doha Metro - Gold Line
My role involved considerable design and coordination of all dry and wet utility diversion works. I worked with a number of contractors for 10 underground stations within the Gold Line providing the best engineering, cost and time saving solutions.
Doha Expressway - P16, P18, P19 and P20
Responsible for concept, preliminary and detail design as well as obtaining approvals from all concerned stakeholders for utilities. My role involved considerable design and coordination of all dry and wet utilities, client and stakeholder liaison and consulting with government authorities for utility diversion approvals.
Al Rayyan Road
Responsible for concept, preliminary and detail design as well as obtaining approvals from public works authority and PMC for all drainage systems. StormCAD and InfoWorks modelling were carried out to aid in the hydraulic analysis and design of the drainage networks throughout the proposed road. The InfoWorks model for the project was combined with the master plan of Qatar, combining all the drainage networks within Qatar as one model. Clash analysis of the utilities was performed using Navisworks before final submission and approval was sought from Public Works Authority and the PMC.
Mall of Qatar
Responsible for the design of all wet utilities from concept to detailed design. Hydraulic modelling software StormCAD, WaterCAD, Windes and InfoWorks were used for the design of the pipe networks. Utility corridor and utility diversion design was also undertaken.
Alkhor Expressway
Responsible for the design review for the wet utility design. My role involved in co-ordinating with both the design consultant and the relevant stakeholders involved. Comment response sheets were produced and relative workshops were organised with the design consultant to speed up the approval procedures in this fast track project.
Working in partnership with Network rail, London Underground and Tube lines to maintain upgrade and build new railway stations throughout the UK. My work consists of;
•Working on assisting bids for new contracts
•Preparing contract documents to be submitted to clients
•Working on estimating and preparing tender documents.
•Researching materials, equipment and labour costs
•Planning job timescales
•Undertaking design, implementation work and any associated surveying that may be required
Working in partnership with the local authority to build schools throughout north Ghana where education is not easily accessible to local people. My work consists of;
• Helped with the planning, designing and execution of construction of Quebec school in Kumasi, Ghana
• Assisted with design and analysis
• Participated in internal meetings
• Prepared engineering reports to submit for handover.
Working in partnership with London Underground to upgrade all structures involved in cooling the tube system. My work consists of;
•Working on defined tasks under close supervision of a senior engineer
•Assisted in design and analysis
•Assisted with preparing and reviewing drawings detailing the design
•Participated in internal meetings
•Prepared engineering reports to be submitted to clients
