Theough this position, aspiring in making KUFPEC an admired oil and gas company in the areas of project control (influencing), through the implementation of value-adding project assurances, under the framework of Operational Excellence
Assist in defining, analyzing and recommending potential business opportunities. The job involves drafting/producing reports, preparing and making requisite presentations, providing commentary and insights on global, regional trends or specific markets or competitor/ target company issues and events
MAJOR DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Assist in evaluating opportunities with required research, follow up, screening and recommendations
- Assist in identifying opportunities that fit within KUFPEC’s strategic plan i.e. seeking partnerships, initiating company contacts, coordination with consultants etc.
-Represent KUFPEC effectively while engaging with Government authorities, co-venturers, prospective business relations, or contractors.
-Prepare and assist in delivery of presentations that fully reflect KUFPEC and its capabilities under the guidance of Advisor Business Development
-Attend conventions, exhibitions and relevant industry meetings to represent and promote KUFPEC when required
- identify and report on all key market developments across Regions to enable timely and critical modification of business development strategy on an ongoing basis
-At the highest level, the position has periodic external interactions with executive management levels of IOC’S, NOC’S, Governments, Contractors and other entities for fostering relationships with these entities
Summary of Role:
To monitor and analyze medium to long term strategies, plans, operations and performance of major oil companies and to assess the impact on OPEC and on the medium to long-term oil outlook.
To monitor and analyze developments in the oil industry structure and assess the impact on OPEC
To monitor and contribute to studies and assessments of developments in international and multilateral relations and agreements which may impact the energy sector
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Collects/treats data, analyses, and reports on major oil companies' strategies, plans, operations, performance and investments.
Monitors and analyses developments in petroleum industry structure
Contributes to speeches, articles and presentations to internal meetings and various international forums
Carries out other tasks assigned to the incumbent by relevant superiors as pertain to the background, qualifications and position
In Kufpec, while in the MEA Region, I have been exposed to reserves management, monitoring production and exploration permits, assisting in economic evaluation of budget and business plans for the company, coordinating internal monthly reporting of the Middle East and Africa region, involvement on New Venture projects, attending Technical Committee Meetings (TCM) and Operating Committee Meetings (OCM) as Kufpec Engineering representative.
Assists in defining, analyzing and recommending potential business opportunities.
I received training on Peep Economic Evaluation Software while working for Geoquest.
Graduated with Honors from Colorado School of Mines in 3.5yrs. First student to ever graduate CSM in 3.5yrs in Petroleum Engineering and Minor in Economics with honors ever. Was a member of the Model Arab Union in the states. Was also a member of SWE and SPE.
