Reporting directly to Managing Director and appointed as Member & Secretary of the Tenders Committee. Main task is to prepare Tendering Policy & Procedures, launching of Food & Beverage Tender, General & Engineering Supplies Tender, act as Member and Secretary of The Tender Committee.

Joined Qatar National Hotels Co. (S.A.Q), the State's largest Tourism and Hospitality Group, wholly owned by the Government of State of Qatar, currently owns several properties at home & abroad. Most of the Katara Hospitality owned properties are managed by International Hotel Management Corporations like: • Sheraton

Appointed as Purchasing Officer in 1993 to undertake the following: ♦ To set up Purchasing Policies & Procedures along with Director of Procurement
♦ Centralizing all purchasing activities for Qatar National Hotels properties
1. Six monthly Food & Beverage Supplies Tender
2. Yearly General & Engineering Supplies Tender
♦ To build a sourcing Library, Local & International.
♦ To negotiate prices for and on behalf of properties by taking advantage of combined quantity.
♦ To represent the Group Director of Procurement in the Tenders Committee meetings and any other Committee meetings whenever he is unable to attend.
♦ To help the Director of Procurement in sourcing any particular item/items, analyze and evaluate quotes for the different committee's and authorities.
♦ To help the Procurement officials of QNH properties in sourcing and negotiating prices.
Sharq Village & Spa-Doha: 2007
In association with QNH's Director of Procurement handled all pre-opening procurement functions conducted by Procurement agent Kris Garrod of UAE
Movenpick Hotel -Salata, Doha: 2002
I was actively involved in the pre-opening procurement along with opening General Manager of the Hotel without any Procurement agency.
Ritz Carlton Hotel -Doha: 2001
In associated with QNH's Director of Procurement handled all pre opening procurements functions conducted by procurement agent Parker Company
Doha Golf Course & Club: 1998
In the beginning of 1998 QNH management assigned me to design and organize the Purchasing department of this new property. Initially I handled all the purchasing activities, trained the newly appointed purchasing, store and received personnel's and supervised their functions until May 1998.

Palm Tree Island: 1996
I was involved with the opening of this leisure facility: Sourced, procured and delivered items in time for the opening in association with the Palm Tree Island's opening team.

The Doha Club: November 1980 - October 1993
Joined the Doha Club just after final examinations as Assistant Storekeeper on 1 Nov 1980 in Material Management department consists of Food & Beverage, General and Engineering stores. During the 12 years of employment I have worked in different departments and positions, last position held before transferring to Qatar National Hotels Company was Purchasing Officer & Head storekeeper.
In summary, I was responsible for the following stores outlets: - General Stores
- Engineering Stores
- Food Stores, Freezes & Cold Rooms
My job was to involve with various departments and coordinate with them the day to day requirements of the Club, Relieve Food & Beverage Cost controller during his vacation and directly reported to the General Manager.
Floating Hotel: October 1993
Assigned as QNH's sole representative to ensure supplies of all necessary items to the Floating Hotel chartered by QNH for the Football Tournament docked at Doha seaport.
Summer Employment: 1980
Participated as Bank Karmi (Bank Employee) under a special scheme designed for final year students of leading universities of Bangladesh to introduce & popularize Rural Banking for a period of 45 days.
