1. Ensure the availability of PPE and other equipment’s for fire fitting and other hazard operation.
2. To coordinate the Organization’s emergency procedures and act as the Organization’s emergency on-site coordinator.
3. To assist executive staff, senior administrators and supervisors in emergency preparedness.
4. To liaise with the fire department regarding emergency procedures, communications and fire safety education programs.
5. Control periodical inspection on fixed extinguishing systems (Novice, CO2, deluges, sprinklers, water, foam and dry powder), inspect, test and maintain fire hoses, hydrants, monitors, isolation valves and couplings.
1. To develop, implement and monitor Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Programs, and Procedures.
2. To assist the organization in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of learners, staff and visitors.
3. Ensure all primary detection safety devices / monitoring instruments & equipment are always in operable conditions prior and during hot works and critical / risky activities such as hot works on live equipment / pipelines, vessel entries, pigging operations, structure repairs, plant modification, etc. & Keep the control over scheduled re-certification, and the repair/calibration of Hydrocarbon and toxic gas detectors.
4. Coordinates activities by scheduling work assignments, setting priorities, and directing the work of subordinates
5. Evaluates and verifies employee performance through the review of completed work assignments and work techniques.
