Managing site operations including site execution, labor management, material management for smooth operation of project
Appointing suitable workforce team as per requirement to achieve the targets without any delay
Monitoring project progress by accelerating or decelerating resources to maintain the flow as per the base schedule submitted to client
Estimating the material requirement for complete project requirement and raising requests to ensure materials are delivered on time
Controling the bulk material usage by properly recorded through suitable method and reconciling periodically so that material inventories are not exceeding ACE quanitities
Analyzing manpower productivity on comparision with standard results and take suitable action to improve if found not acceptable limit
Coordinate with engineering team to make available approved drawings are ready so that there is no interruption in the project progress
Guiding workforce team on right path to get maximum output which will help in attain end milestones
Training operation team in effective manner to maintain quality and safety of the site acitivities
Coordinating with client, authorities and completing the target on complete satisfaction manner
Providing suitable inputs to tender or contracts dept and shared schedule to mobilize specialized vendor as per the project requirement
Ensuring progress bill certification of client and sub-contractor’s are get certified following to deal with cash flow of the project
Previous project’s lesson learnt methods are ensured to implement and applied to the present to minimize rework
Responsibilities
Reporting directly to Managing Director for the smooth operations of the processes during pretender stage
Setting up of project team to carryout civil works at EPC Projects
Reviewing the enquires sent by the client and preparing an competitive offer based on the available specification & standards etc
Responding to the client for any troubleshoots raised based on our offers
Carryout site visit to analyse the project’s condition and for the collection of datas which will be utilized for the preparation of tenders
Overall in charge for the civil activities progressing at site
Co-coordinating with Main Contractor, Consultant, Client for approvals and Cleance
Ensuring timely work completion as per the Project Program
Arranging resources as per the requirement and controlling its inventory
Driving in-house team to achieve the targets with the satisfaction of client
Verifying Drawings and raising queries if any discrepancy arises
Preparing BOQs for each individual activities and making requisition
Ensuring all work done and materials used at site as per relevant project specifications, standards
Attending meeting with client and complying their requirements
Instructing all work forces involved to follow safety requirements strictly as per local authority regulations, standards
Controlling the cost by proper planning and proper allocation of resources
Communicating with the vendors well in advance and receiving materials without any delays
Preparing progress bill and getting certified from client
DEWA Approved Civil Engineer for Site Supervising works
Inspecting and Monitoring the Site works done by the Main Contractor
Ensuring Quality and Safety aspects as stipulated in the local Authority Regulations
Coordinate with client for executing weekly progress meeting
Getting all Reports from contractor and submit to Clients.
Reviewing the Design and Drawings as per DEWA specifications and International Standards
Reviewing DTNs Submitted by the Main Contractor
Reviewing and Approving the material submittals
Certifying the Payments submitted by the Main Contractor
Job Responsibilites:
Executing, Supervising the Civil Contractor’s work and ensuring the work done as per the DEWA’s specifications and BS standards
Ensuring all the site materials used are approved by the client/consultants
Supervision and testing of Plate load test for soils as per BS Standards
Conducting Field Density Test by Sand Replacement method for the compacted soil
Witnessing the load tests for Monorail beams, Crane girders
Perform field and laboratory testing of concrete, steel, aggregates and soils to BS and ASTM Standards
Conducting flood test for water proofing at roofs
Conducting Pressure test for water supply pipes and flow test for Rain water pipes
Supervising Chlorination/Disinfection test for water supply networks
Checking temperature and slumps for every delivery of concretes
Attending factory inspection for the structural steel items and raise non-conformance if any
While performing works, Ensuring the work done with proper safety measures and PPE’s to the workforce
Monitoring the progress of the work in line with approved construction program
Recording the Delays and causes that happened due to Client/Consultants
Checking sub-contractor’s monthly bill, preparing consultant’s monthly progress bill, claiming variation for the additional works
Preparing As built drawings and getting approval from consultant/client
Co-ordinating with MEP contractors and giving access for the equipment erection, cable laying etc
Site surveying has been conducted at each stage of work from the TECOM-Zoning authority for ensuring the land is in our plot limit
Maintaining all the documents as per the ISO standards
Raising site notes to consultant and sub-contractor for the progress of work
Sewerage final inspection approval, Civil Defense approval, etc for getting Building Completion Certificate for the substation
WORKING AS PLANNING ENGINEER FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF IT PARK AT NAVALUR, CHENNAI. INVOLVED IN PREPARING ALL REPORTS (PROGRESS, DAILY, COST REPORTS)
WORKED AS SITE ENGINEER AND INVOLVED IN EXECUTION OF RCC WORKS INCLUDING SHUTTERING, STEEL WORKS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF GOVT. HOSPITAL BUILDINGS
