Member of ITS Global Support Team. The team is responsible for configuring, supporting, maintaining, upgrading, monitoring and troubleshooting all ITS branches core networks in 21 sites remotely from a centralized location, ITS-GDC. Core network consisting of Cisco routers, switches, Firewalls (ASA), Network admission Control (NAC), BlueCoat, Tandberg Video Conference and Quadro VOIP systems.
I have daily tasks in troubleshooting routing, switching, voice, video and firewall problems in the core network. All the problems are submitted to the team through the “Remedy” ticketing system to be solved in a predefined time period (SLA) related to the urgency and the impact of this problem on the business.
Responsibilities:
Routing:
• Troubleshooting problems related to the running routing protocols in the core network, OSPF, EIGRP and BGP.
Switching:
• Troubleshooting switching problems related to Spanning Tree, VLANs, Trunking, and HSRP.
Firewall:
• Troubleshooting firewall issues and protecting the core network.
• ACL implementation.
• Servers hardening and publishing.
• Responsible for connecting ITS branches through VPN (S2S & RAVPN & DMVPN).
NAC:
• Troubleshooting NAC appliance issues and managing NAC policies applied on the end-users.
BlueCoat SG:
• Controlling end-user access to the internet and managing the policies of the BlueCoat.
TandBerg:
• Responsible for managing, configuring and troubleshooting all ITS branches video-conferences.
Quadro:
• Responsible for managing and troubleshooting all ITS branches voice systems and conference rooms configuration.
ACS:
• Implementing and Managing ACS.
• Configuring users, groups, assign the privilege as required.
• Integration with ASA and configuring the downloadable ACL.
Monitoring systems:
Zenoss:
• Configuring and maintaining Zenoss monitoring system.
• Adding, deleting and configuring devices and rules for best performance alerting system.
• Tuning Zenoss parameters to mitigate the false positive and false negative alerts.
Orion:
• Installing, configuring and maintaining Orion monitoring system.
• Adding, deleting and doing other required operations for all monitored devices
• Configuring and tuning rules and alerts
• Tracking response time, availability, uptime of routers, switches and other SNMP-enabled devices
• Generating wide-range of reports when needed.
