Projects Manager “Oil & Gas Sector - Energy Business Unit "
Job Responsibility as a Projects Manager
• Analyzing bids and projects documents including (specifications, plans...etc.) to
prepare offers or tenders files including technical and commercial issues complying
with project requirements and the international standards of 0.1 up to 36 kV
switchgears.
• Ensures the quality of contract execution from the technical, commercial,
administrative and financial viewpoints to fulfill all contract obligations to ensure
customer satisfaction and company profitability.
• Internal and external follow-up and coordination with the support division functions,
suppliers, sub-contractors, customer, and all the stakeholders to deliver the project &
achieve customer satisfaction.
• Provide 1st level technical support to the sales team and the customers.
• Technically and commercially responsible for the project during execution.
• Follow up projects execution until delivered to the client and ending of the warranty
period.
• Managing all project activities from start up to final factory acceptance test (FAT),
including fabrication, commissioning and site services.
• Project risks and opportunities management (technical, commercial and financial).
The above Job Responsibilities is monitoured through the following KPIs:
• QoS (Quality of Service).
• QoC (Quality of Commitement).
• OLT (Offer Lead Time).
• Hit Rate (Volume & number).
• OTDS (On Time Delivery Schedule).
• Invoicing (volume & timing).
• Registered Margin Improvement during realization.
• Order Entry.
• Stock Management.
Key responsibilities:
•Team recourses allocation during the project life cycle starting from bidding through execution till project closing, Managing, balancing team work load according experience and skills.
•Ensures total alignment with Schneider business strategy, evaluating project potential risk, supervise initiation and execution of mitigation plans.
•Ensures Quality of Provided Quotations, that they are Consolidating packages and solutions, optimized in order to compete, well presented, and issued at suitable period.
•Team coaching & developting, Communicate common practice, and share lesson learned and experience.
•Leads team to plan all project dimensions (Scope, Schedule, Budget, Quality, Procurement, Risk ), and provide all deliverables.
•Monitoring of Projects progress, supervising corrective and preventive actions in order to rectify the projects progress to baselines.
•Verification of projects deliverables, ensure proper projects closing, ensure customer satisfaction.
•Leads team to achieve adherence to internal working procedure and policies.
Implementation Stage Activities
1.Prepare Project time schedule.
2.Transfer all project technical data and document to engineering Dept.
3.Issuing submittal for approval committed with project schedule.
4.Follow up logistic process of ordered materials.
5.Follow up order launching date and check work in progress.
6.Invite customer for inspection to release the order.
7.Follow up Invoice Collection according to contract.
*Projectsin Oil & Gas sector
-Responsible for the preparation of the Main Submittal for the scope of supply to the customer including the Transformers, DC system, UPS, Fiber Optic system & Automation System.
-Responsible for the handling between the different scopes in the project technically …(Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, DC System, Transformers & the Automation).
-Responsible for the Automation System Design & PLC Selection(Telemecanique) .
-Responsible for the wiring diagram between the Interface Panel (IP which contains the PLC) & the field.
-Responsible for the ladder programming & applying customer's philosophy.
-Responsible for the SCADA ECS(Electrical Control System)
-Responsible for the Commissioning & Start-up in the site as the Project Manager & Site Manager.
*Project for NEC Sudan
-Responsible for the preparation of the Metering, Protection & Control functions of the field to be monitored & controlled
-Responsible for the preparation of the SCADA diagrams of the field.
-Responsible for the Commissioning & Start-up of the new automated Electrical substations in Sudan.
-Responsible for the new solutions relating to the communication of the new automated electrical substations in Sudan. (Microsol RTU).
-Responsible for the wiring diagram between the RTU (Microsol) & the field.
-Responsible for the RTU Software configuration
*Job responsibility.
-Responsible for Offering the solutions complying with the customer’s specisfications which are out of Schneider Electric NEA offer.
-Responsible for the Technical & Commercial offer of the external suppliers(Transformers, Battery &Battery Chargers, UPS).
-Responsible for the Technical & Commercial offer of the Automation & SCADA systems.
-Responsible for the Technical presentation of a new automated solutions (Distribution Management System/Distribution Automation).
-Responsible for any required in house training from the RCC.
Control Engineer-Technical Support
-Helping in the Commissioning & Start -up of the new automated systems.(RSLogix 500)&(RSLogix5000).
-Helping in the Design & programming of the SCADA system.(RSView32).
-Responsible for the electrical Installation for the new automated systems in the field (including power & communication cables).
-Responsible for the Design & programming of the HMI ( Human Machine Interface ).(RSView Studio).
-Responsible for the wiring digrams of the PLC (Between the field & the Control Panels) & the wiring digrams of the MCC panels.
-Helping in solving the customers problems including Rockwell products (Allen-Bradley components of PLC, Communication problems, contactors, C.B……..) as a solution provider in the Technical Departement.
-Responsible for the preparation of the schematic diagrams of the field to be automated using Autocad 2004, Microsoft Visio.
-Responsible for the preparation & revising the SCADA manuals prepared for the SCADA users.
-Helping in the preparation & revising the offers sent to customers.
Responsible for the installation & operation of motors, pumps & seal for the oilfield wills.
Responsible for the performance of the string ( motor, pump & seal ) related to quality control compliance.
Responsible for documentation of inspection activities and maintenance of quality control.
Responsible for preparing & revising the As-Built Drawings for the Local Telephone Network
Trained in the Auto-Cad Departement
Graduation Project: Setting up a web-based remote lab for computer control applications through a local network & using Symantec Pcanywhere 10.5 to have a remote control on a Servo motor as an application using the Data acqusition card as an interface between the computer & the servo motor& Desigining a digital controller using Computer & Matlab toolboxes
