Responsible for product supply planning for Middle East and Africa, 3 Plants in Egypt, South Africa and Pakistan, Serving 12 Markets in the region.
Supply Planning
•Focus on key driving factors that influence supply chain performance metrics.
•Make production decisions based on target inventory levels, order fill rates and demand variables.
•Identify and resolve supply issues.
•Work closely with the depot to ensure target order fill rates are being met for daily customer orders.
•Monitor Production receipts and transfers ensuring timely delivery and availability of product as well as in accordance with our inventory plan.
•Manage new products introductions from production through receipt. Responsible to ensure product arrives to meet customer dates and specifications.
•Ensure proper capacity planning to avail production lines for the expected projects, planned maintenance.
•Agreeing Constrained Supply Plan.
•Optimizes production and inventory to deliver the demand plan
•Raises future capacity and stock issues
•Determines continuous improvement plans and raises for discussion in Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meeting
Production Planning & Scheduling
•Creates rough cut capacity plan (RCCP)
•Understands and influences the planning parameters (In-House and External) and assumptions e.g. changeovers, stock-building, warehouse Constraints etc
•Develops and implements the run strategy
•Creates cost contingency plans and scenarios, supported by the Finance team
•Communicates the Master Production Schedule and consequences to the business
•Optimizes and communicates the line schedule taking into account sequencing
•Creates feasible production schedules, considers constraints, e.g. line capacity, labour, batch sizes, run rates, bottlenecks, planned downtime.
•Executes agreed manufacturing run strategy
•Manages and communicates exceptions.
Production-planning supervision, scheduling for production, preparing production schedules for manufacturing.
Making sure each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
Analyzing production specifications and plant capacity data and performs mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes & utilization of production lines.
Determining the status of assigned projects or new SKUs, expedites operations that delay schedules/launching and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
Preparing production reports.
Monitor, analyze & report performance to schedule of production & production support activities.
Ensures all parties are fully cognizant of production status, & that work planning and execution objectives are integrated & communicated.
Analyze requests for maintenance/repair services & determines the validity, content & scope of requested work.
Managing (ownership) of the packaging area in the factory, Full responsibility of achieving the area KPIs, Safety & Quality aspects.
Responsibility of building a high performance team, and full responsibility of my teams' functional & technical developement.
Functional expert in production team to deal with the production planning as i am the owner of the packaging area, in terms of achieving the production plan, work closely with the supply team to plan our demand to achieve the best for the production line and for the market as well.
Functional Expert for the safety, working closely with the safety team to ensure a safe environment for all the associates, and achieving all the safety KPIs.
Improve manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning work flow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assure product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes.
Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. .
Provides manufacturing engineering information by answering questions and requests.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations.
Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; requesting special service.
Complete design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsible for handling budget and expenditure of manufacturing contractors.
