Generally: We -HV dep.- are fully responsible for the customers inquiries and tenders from the receiving
moment until the cable is delivered to the customer. All the required documents (Technical and
Commercial) are released by us. Our duties include Sales, Technical, Order management, and Customer
service tasks.
Study the HV cables inquiries received directly from the customers to identify the required
cables and accessories and the required specification and international standards.
Prepare the cable design that fulfills all customer specifications.
Prepare the Technical offers/Data sheets with the required drawings, certificates and
compliances.
Prepare the Commercial offer indicating the cables prices (based on the agreed LME) and terms
of payment and delivery.
Perform ampacity and induced voltages calculations based on the customer laying and
installation conditions.
Advise the customer with solutions to fulfill required cable load.
Prepare all the required tenders documents (FAT, Country of Origin, …etc) to prepare the
complete submittals.
Keep on continuous contact with the customers to give any required support and to be aware of
our offers status.
Reply to customer/utility clarifications regarding the technical, commercial and delivery
schedules.
Revise the customer PO, supply agreement and LC and negotiate with the customer until agree
on the final terms and conditions.
Finalizing orders and preparing all the required documents to be approved before manufacturing
the cables.
Booking of the cables metals (Copper-Aluminum-Lead).
Issue SO with all the order details on the factory systems and release the orders to the factory
departments to start manufacturing.
Follow up with the factory different departments to ensure manufacturing the cables as per the
required specifications and reply to their technical clarification.
Arrange for customer visits and inspections.
Arrange with the customers and our logistic department for cables shipping.
Search for new customers and contact them to give an idea about our company profile and
product range (For HV cables).
** Special Tasks
Contact cables accessories and installation equipment’s suppliers to get offers for the required
items by the customer.
Revise different suppliers’ offers against customer requirements and compare them to choose
the most suitable offer to include in our submittal.
Prepare full submittal for all tender items (cables & accessories) talking into consideration
different costs (tax, customs, stamps, logistics, 3rd party inspection, training, ...etc).
** Main Responsibilities/Duties:
• Studying international and local standards and specifications.
• Analysis inquires of customers to identify types and full specifications of cables.
• Studying LV, Control and instrumentation cables international and local standards and customer specifications (specially Gulf area customers like ARAMCO, KAHRAMAA, SEC, KOC, ADWEA, …etc).
Note: I have also a good background in MV and HV cables.
• Making the suitable technical offers/data sheets for cables.
• Provide technical support for our salesmen.
• Technical studies and review for orders in hand in order to make sure that all client specifications are fully complied.
• Cooperate with other departments to make sure of manufacturing the orders according to client specifications and provide technical support for them.
• Cooperate with other departments to develop new products or gain new approvals.
• Always keep up with our factories abilities and production ranges.
** Special Tasks
• Responsible for managing all Gulf and multinational area work and make sure of fulfilling our sales person’s priorities when delegated from upper level managers.
** Projects:
1. Developing new cable types according to new American standards.
Main responsibilities:
• Observation of the manufacturing process of different types of panels (LV distribution, ATS, Power factor correction, 2 out of 3, etc)
• Installing electrical components of the panels (CB's, Contactors, motor starters, relays, capacitors, etc)
• Wiring of the control circuits using the Auto-CAD drawings.
• Testing of finished panels.
